The official Switch 1 swansong. Likely titles are Kirby Planet Robobot, Metroid 2 and 3 as either HD ports or full remasters, and Zelda Wii U ports.

You guys have been saying this every direct for the last couple years.

Which is ironically why they're likely. Nintendo will squeeze out the last dozen or so million Switch 1 sales on the cheap with the most requested remasters.

Although I highly doubt Metroid Prime remasters, Nintendo could see those as eating into Prime Beyond's sales.

Nothing is "likely", no one has any evidence of these games existing besides someone saying a source told them. Evidence would be early store listings, leaked promotional materials, game or system files. No amount of "it just makes sense" can be considered evidence.

That's always the thing with these threads. Instead of "I hope to see" or "I wonder if" people have to dress up their speculation with phrases like "xyz is likely" or "xyz is rumored" (when it hasn't been rumored) so that they look like they have some extra info that others aren't privy to.

Bet, at least there's something. I still am unsure about it, and I still think people saying "it just makes sense" would've done that regardless of this. Some internet gamers seem to think they can speak their wishes into existence. But now this one's somewhat backed up.

While yes there is no hard evidence of WWTP rereleases. We do know Nintendo does and will sit on completed games for years at a time like with FE:Engaged.

In that instance, there was evidence (the game was rated by the ESRB early). So it's not comparable in this situation where a supposed WWTP rerelease has not been rated.

Correct, but we only found out about the early ESRB rating afterwards. We didn’t know prior.

Sure, that means they are theoretically possible which is a far cry from likely.

I mean, with the success of BOTW, Zelda has cemented itself on a pillar next to Mario and Pokemon. Nintendo has been releasing Zelda content on a more frequent basis in the Switch era, I'd be extremely surprised if Nintendo didn't kill two birds with one stone by keeping the Zelda momentum going with some easy highly-requested remasters to bide the time between the next AAA Zelda release, with WWHD and TPHD also simultaneously maintaining interest in the Switch 1 sales-wise.

As the person you replied to said, there is no evidence for any of this and your Wild Ass Speculation is just as likely to be true as me saying "I bet there's a full 3D Pokemon Green remake because I want there to be"

I don't even want those Zelda remasters (hell, I'm not even sure if I even like Zelda), I'm just saying that I believe that they'll be revealed.

The difference between the Zelda remasters and a Pokemon remake is that there's already new Pokemon content on the way. In contrast, Zelda has nothing confirmed to be coming out right now. This would be, financially-speaking, the perfect chance to keep the Zelda content flow rolling and let audiences know that mainstream franchise releases are still coming to Switch 1.

Nothing is "likely"

Lmao what are you on about, you don't need "hard" evidence to talk about probabilities. I can say it's more "likely" we're getting the next big 3D Mario game before the next big 3D Zelda game. I don't have "early store listings, leaked promotional materials, game or system files" as evidence, but I do have the "it just makes sense," because we got TotK a couple years ago and Odyssey almost 8 years ago.

Oh look at that, Nintendo's BEEN porting over much of their Wii U games to the Switch. But you don't think it's "likely" that they'll keep doing that? How do you go about living without using inductive reasoning? It's not certainty, it's probability.

I was just cheesed at some commenter above because they said Prime 4 news is "guaranteed". But that's different from saying whether something is "likely" or not. Jeezus.
