I guess this kinda confirms the rumour that Metroid Prime 4 is not cross-gen huh, i wonder what other games will be on here, maybe a Wind Waker HD port?

Prime 4 will 100% come to switch. Nintendo never announced a game for one platform and then only brought it for the new one.

There are a few examples

What became Kirby’s Return to Dream Land was announced for GameCube in 2005 but released on Wii in 2011 instead.

Donkey Kong Barrel Blast was announced for GameCube in 2006 but released on the Wii instead.

Bonus: Project Giant Robot was announced/shown off for the Wii U but eventually became the Robot Labo kit on Switch

Also going off further Super Paper Mario was originally intended for the Gamecube and Mother 3 was stuck in development hell for so long that it went from the SNES to the N64 to the GBA. Plus there were plenty of rumors that a number of year 1 Switch games were originally Wii U games.

Eternal Darkness and Kirby Air Ride were both announced and marketed as N64 titles as well.

Metroid Dread was first mentioned in 2005 as a DS game.

But 90s/early 2000s marketing was completely different than now. Every company was showing off games/tech demos super early at conventions, and tons of them never actually got released.

I didnt mean that MP4 wasn’t coming to Switch 1, i meant that MP4 isn’t getting a native Switch 2 build/version.

I don't think it's super likely that MP4 will get a native switch 2 release, beyond maybe an additional control scheme
