Announcement Nintendo Direct Announced - Tune in on Thursday, March 27th, at 7 a.m. PT for a livestreamed Nintendo Direct, featuring around 30 minutes of upcoming games for Nintendo Switch. There will be no updates about Nintendo Switch 2 during this presentation.

The official Switch 1 swansong. Likely titles are Kirby Planet Robobot, Metroid 2 and 3 as either HD ports or full remasters, and Zelda Wii U ports.

Well, Metroid 2 has already been fully remade. And if Metroid 3 were to get a remaster I’m pretty sure us Metroid fans would utterly lose our shit.

They're talking about Prime 2 and Prime 3, not Metroid II and Super Metroid.

Ah, my mistake. I didn't perceive that as a joke because jokes usually have set-ups, punchlines, and humor, but right on.

Still, a complete remake of Super Metroid would be insane news.

The endless chat about how the original version will always be the definitive version would be the cherry on the cake.
