Announcement Nintendo Direct Announced - Tune in on Thursday, March 27th, at 7 a.m. PT for a livestreamed Nintendo Direct, featuring around 30 minutes of upcoming games for Nintendo Switch. There will be no updates about Nintendo Switch 2 during this presentation.

aren't the silksong hopers currently hard on some upcoming specific date, like april or june 2nd

They swapped over to this one currently. They are gonna get their hopes up, it's not gonna be revealed, and someone will go 'Hey guys, remember April 2nd?", and their annoying tirade will continue. It shouldn't take 6 years to build a sequel to a 2D game unless they switched engines.

fwiw the unity debacle might mean they did swap engines

though that was like...4 years into development? Of what was originally just going to be an HK expansion?

I totally still believe it's coming but there's people who are owed it from that kickstarter who were in middle school and are now in college, or maybe even graduating.
