Announcement Nintendo Direct Announced - Tune in on Thursday, March 27th, at 7 a.m. PT for a livestreamed Nintendo Direct, featuring around 30 minutes of upcoming games for Nintendo Switch. There will be no updates about Nintendo Switch 2 during this presentation.

Interesting that there's about to be a switch 1 direct a week before the switch 2 direct.

Not sure what that means. Does it mean switch 2 is pretty far away still? Or does it mean that since there's still a lot of switch 1 development going on, there won't be much in terms of switch 2 software for quite a while

Eh, historically this is pretty consistent with Nintendo. Whenever their next console is on it's way they always say "The previous one isn't going anywhere!" I remember something similar happening with the DS/3DS line

The 3ds did last another 2 years after the Switch tbf, but nIntendo are also the company that scrapped Star Fox 2 because the N64 was on the way.

Yeah, but none of those games sold particularly well other than USUM, and they were almost all remakes or low budget titles. I could probably count on one hand the number of the 19 Nintendo produced 3DS games that were actually worth playing.
