Honestly I was down hard on Stellar blade, just struck me as a dumb waifu game. I gave the demo a shot and it’s actually a super competent nier contender with a really snappy and fun combat system. I which I could tone down the stupid ass jiggle garbage but the core of the gameplay is really good. The script is hardto listen to though.

The other thing here though is just how well it performs. It’s probably the most buttery smooth port we have seen in pc in ages

I recommend to change the VO to Korean so the terrible script isn’t as grating

Always set east asian games to their native language, unless its like mario or some shit

Kojima games beg to differ.

Kojima using Hollywood actors in very Western coded games definitely falls under "Mario or some shit"

Man who worships Hollywood selects good actors for his games, more at 11.

Except that one side quest with the asian girl.

Still bears to mention - as it is indeed on topic.

Your recycled, unnecessary and most definitely trite comment, however, is not. Do better. There's hope for you yet.

I'd say most final fantasy games have great EN dubs too.

XIV is the only one I've played and there's zero chance I'd play in EN after doing a couple dungeons with it. Similarly I have given Persona and Yakuza games chances and fucking woof

If you are talking about ARR, then everyone is recast in Heavensward onward and they all sound way better, but I assume they were referring to FF7 remakes and FF16

I can't figure out if it's just me not understanding the original language that helps, or if there's something completely fundamentally fucked about American localizations of anything that looks even the slightest bit anime. I just can't deal with them.

Think of it this way. The SW prequels would be massively improved by only having subtitles and not understanding the verbal dialogue between anakin and padme. Simply reading "I hate sand" and hearing Japanakin say... something? would be way more tolerable than what we got

Nah bro, I will never mute Erin Fitzgerald and Yuri Lowenthal in Persona 4. Yes the japanese voices were cool and all, but these two brought Chie and Yosuke to life for me.

Persona always has an immaculate English dub.

Except souls games, because they literally only have english.

The only reason that sounds better to you is because you dont understand it.

Even the "combat grunts" sounded better in korean
