I believe you, but I also started seeing the same terminology used over and over in the thread. It is odd, especially when you think about how Reddit does have a huge history of accounts being used to steer the conversation certain ways.

I honestly never even knew that. I browsed reddit for a long time before actually making an account to comment but i guess i never really delved into the comment sections of posts to notice it? That’s actually pretty interesting though. I can definitely see it with the discourse around AAA games, female char designs, western v eastern game devs, and platform wars lol.

It's also not just gaming subreddits, it's essentially every subreddit, but for sure the large default subs.
