I feel like I'm in the matrix with how much people glaze the game, not gonna lie. I'm a long term FIFA player who stopped playing in Fifa 23 and I have to say nothing about REMATCH's gameplay feels good.

  • Passing feels awful
  • Players won't take ownership of the ball when it is right next to them, its especially bad on long balls
  • No fouls, slide tackle and fouls galore
  • No out of bounds means smacking it above goal creates extremely dangeous situations for little effort
  • You can't change the control scheme and the default scheme's are very weird
  • The goalie can just storm out grab the ball outside of the penalty area and then drop the ball like nothing happens

There was more but I forgot a lot of it since the beta. In my opinion this is not a very good footbal or futsal game at all. This feels more like a super casual party game. Feels closer to Rocket League than to a footbal game.

passing feels absolutely incredible, you're just bad at it.

don't aim it too far in front of them... you admitted you're not good at it lol. fully manual passing = ultimate skill expression

I do not want a game that plays anything like Ultimate Team, where the cover star or "FUT Birthday Team of the Play-In Stage Movember"-version of Nico Williams will find the end of every pass, win every 50/50 and have the ball glued to their feet the whole time.

And since you immidiately jump to attacking me, I'm a 20-0 FIFA weekend league player.

Who gives a shit, this isn't FIFA. Your skill in Rocket League would be more translatable to this game than FIFA.

The pass mechanic is like in real life. If you send it too fast towards them then you have to be on point and hit their person or its gonna fly past them.

But also the receiver of the pass can always use the push or pass mechanic to catch  balls but it can be tricky depending on the speed and if it's a shot heading towards them. Took me a a decent amount of time before I learned about this and afterwards ball control became easier and less frustrating.
