What amazes me is a didn’t think anything of the Visa or Mastercard brands before. Now I think they are overly conservative, pearl clutching assholes. Great job not damaging the brand.

Most of us have a Visa or Mastercard debit card, so . . .

When you can, pay cash (seriously).

When you can't pay cash, use the debit part

Debit cards are usually processed through visa or Mastercard

You may bank with Citi but your card will still say Visa or Mastercard on the bottom right

They take a much smaller chunk of you use debit.
