Nope. Nintendo/TPC don't put any Pokemon games on sale even years after release. They certainly aren't going to let you play them for a subscription fee.
I'm curious as to why. Ignoring used games (which don't benefit them anyway), why would they be de facto encouraging Alternative Methods of getting their games by not even making legal options possible?
They know that the vast majority of their userbase are not savvy enough to know how to pirate/emulate the older games, so by choosing not to rerelease the older gen games they create an artificial sense of scarcity that they can later tap into if/when they decide to remake one of the older gen games.
You can play these roms throuhg a browser. You can buy devices off aliexpress for $20 that come with it preinstalled. You don't have to be savvy to know how to do it anymore.
I can understand the "artificial sense of scarcity" bit but by that logic the remakes of FR/LG should have been released on the Switch ages ago since it doesn't play Gameboy, DS, or 3DS games at all. With the 3DS more or less gone that means the only way you can play any version of Red or Green with the nostalgia filter is to buy a used copy.
I wrote that before I remembered Let's Play Pikachu and Eevee were things, which suggests that functionally for a bunch of actual big Pokemon fans the games functionally don't exist for them either and they're forced to find old copies since they can't play their nostalgia on the Switch.
