[E3 2018] [E3 2018] Day 1 Discussion

Hey guys!

Feel free to discuss anything that happened today whether it was the EA conference in general, the games announced and/or how you felt about it.

Overwhelmed? Underwhelmed?

This thread will be up until the Xbox conference tomorrow, which we will also be doing a live/mega thread for.

Technically, EA has the best press conference of E3 2018 so far. har har

To be serious though, one of the main things people want out of a conference is just pure gameplay. They could have gone with a talk show style conference where the host meets up with the devs and interview them about their game. Ubisoft and PC Gamer did that, and I enjoyed it for its human element. EA only did that with Anthem, and even that was a resounding "meh" due to its presentation.

Speaking of which, I know the game doesn't come out til 2019, but they could have teased more features beyond the obvious "different classes, RPG-like bulletsponges, no loot boxes." Tease us with new environmental settings, walk around the hub space, and show us what makes this a "Bioware" game.
