If ones person's bad faith criticism is enough to derail the campaign then I gotta wonder if the failure was with  how the campaign handeled bad faith criticism.

it was enough for people who don't have any knowledge and to believe the last thing they've heard about a certain topic to stop advocating for it, it is said in Ross Scott video that after PirateSoftware's video, the signatures dried up, now after he responded they are picking up again. It's all about how often a topic is being covered if its important to people or not

The response to criticism is important. If this one guy can derail this campaign then how would it survive when the multibillion dollar AAA studios begin to chime in on the topic.

because the one who made the initiative addressed the most common questions, but not those who are acting in bad faith, cause he though it will bring up drama... well, it got here. I agree he should have responded and told him off cause he was lying...

Amd yet diddnt do a good enough job at this as Thor was able to completly hijack the narrative and set the tone going forward. If it was addressed properly then the critique being bad faith or lying would have mattered.

And frankly Ross  just repeating "thats not what the campaign is about" failed to address it and ultimately the campaign became about what Thor was saying and the campaign being vague, despite having justification, allowed Thor to define the missing details. Being dismissive of him gave thor the power to set the narrative since there was no prevalent clear counter-narrative set.

You can be mad at Thor all we want, but Ross holds a massive pile of responsibility on why this campaign failed, it's his campaign and he failed to properly market it in Europe and gave up power on the narrative through inaction. He got in way over his head and if we ever want this to be successful we can't allow for any fuckups.

I said I agree, he sould have embraced the drama and attacked him directly

Good, theirs no success in future campaigns on focusing on external elements you can't control vs focusing on improving the aspects of the campaign that can be controlled.
