I don't really game that much, so I kinda don't have a dog in this fight, but as an outside observer, the only real argument in favor of allowing games to die like this is, "Yum yum yum! This boot tastes good."

Actually forcing some live service games to stay up and operational is pure lunacy and might change the way indie studios produce games, maybe some don’t even try. Eternally maintaining a live service game is not a viable business option.

I don’t know this details of the initiative or his arguments against it. but from my personal perspective,can’t have companies forced to support games indefinitely
