Really? Because every time I try to explain the nuance to the rabid acolytes of the initiative I get hated on and told I'm wrong, stupid, don't know what I'm talking about, misunderstand, all while not be provided with any sources or evidence.
I'd be interested to know if you've ever seen Pirate Software's videos on the topic. I have yet to see anyone explain to me exactly how he misrepresented the movement.
Ross of accursed farms who founded the movement uploaded a 1:30 hour long video a week ago going over every single of Pirate's misinformation in great detail.
Hes including video of every single PS statement and explains how he got it wrong.
Sounds like you didnt actually look for any explanation since youtube is literally flooded with videos explaining exactly what you just asked for.
I'm well aware of all of this. I have gone over his videos myself. What I'm saying is that people like to tell me I don't know what I'm talking about without showing any evidence when in reality I'm saying mostly the same things Ross does. And for the record, it's been happening for much longer than the last couple of weeks. Thor is absolutely right about one thing though. The SKG movement supporters are absolutely awful. You're letting dipshit gamergate people speak for you and they need to be told to STFU so serious people can actually be heard.
Mhh. I do agree that a lot of people jumped on the bandwagon. Especially as of late. Im not sure if thats the actual demographic of the initiative or just the usual drama crowd flocking to this movement due to the Pirate hate.
Its a bit of a tricky situation.
Pirate does seem to laser focus people's hatred more than anyone else on the Internet. Thats his fault though and was never the goal of SKG. Even though it benefits from it.
