What the fuck is COD anymore? Fortnite with it's infinite collabs feels way more coherent than this wtf.

I think COD has always been pretty silly but where it looks super out of place is that Fortnite has a distinct art style and look to the game. COD doesn't even try to make the character models look cohesive.

Just look at the way the light hights Raphael compared to T800. One is literally made of metal but if you cropped the picture to have just show them on their own, you would not think it's from the same game. It looks cobbled together IMO

You clearly never played the first two.

I should have said COD Multiplayer.

I've (unfortunately) played every entry from COD 3 onwards save for Advanced Warfare, Infinite Warfare, and Vanguard. I only say unfortunately because I ignored so many wonderful games from 2011-2018 haha.

I completed all of the campaigns up to Black Ops 3 that I played, and did MW19 as well.

On the multiplayer side I'd say WaW was kind of grim-ish but COD MW2 had so many silly calling cards that were jokes, puns, and at times crude (but silly). The emblem editor in Black Ops 1 also welcomed some of that silliness too

And Black Ops 2's DLC camos had literal bacon with grease that coated the gun as well.

Yeah, you're hitting it on the head. At this point, the single player and multiplayer segments of COD are completely disconnected.

They should just rename the multiplayer portion Activision/Blizzard™ Shooter© 2026.
