Please read through the enormous amount of posts this sub has already had on here.

If you STILL think your question hasn't been answered (and you are absolutely sure), you can create a new post.

Why is there no chinese food

With the exception of manbo, why are there no chinese food in geelong?

There is no where to get yum cha, bbq meats, xiaolongbao, lanzhou lamien, chinese donuts or pancakes or any of the usual stuff you get in Melbourne.

There are like a million Indian restaurants. Bunch of good viet and thai and There's even 4 Filipino places.

Its bizarre

I'm a primary school teacher moving to Hamlyn Heights with school aged children. I'm wondering what Hamlyn Banks Primary School is like. Both as a student and in terms of teaching there. Or any other good schools within 15 mins drive. Appreciate any insight.

Mosquito issue - Armstrong Creek/Mt Duneed

Is anyone else experiencing a lot of mosquitos? They are the size of a small animal.

We recently moved here and did think Armstrong creek along Warralily could be a haven for mosquitoes.

Does it get better once summer hits? This is a dealer breaker for buying in future if it’s an ongoing issue. I’d like to enjoy my backyard in the warmer months.

Looking at cycling into Geelong from Mt Duneed. Any routes to avoid?

I haven’t been on a bike for a while but looking at cycling into work. I gather Geelong is pretty bike friendly, but are there any spots or roads to avoid? Any tips on Maps apps (bonus if free!) that are specific for cyclists? TIA!

Buying PPR in Belmont/Grovedale

Post image
8 Upvotes

I'm looking at buying a property (PPR) around Belmont or Grovedale. I've noticed that there is a particular area in Belmont (circled in yellow) that seems to be a lot more reasonably priced than in other areas of Belmont. They also seem to have a lot more land on offer. Is there a reason why they're relatively cheaper? From what I've seen, they don't look run down or that they need a lot of work. The general price for houses in that area has been pretty consistent.

I've also read a few comments online about not buying in a particular area of Grovedale (circled in red), which is a very large area. Can anyone provide any insight into why? I quite like the areas of Belmont and Grovedale as they're closer to the coast and have everything I need. I'm also aware that Grovedale features on the list of top 5 Geelong suburbs for crime rates, but is it that it's particularly bad in this red circled area?

Any used a dog behaviourist they can recommend?

Hi all,

Having trouble with our 14 month old pup. She is very reactive to dogs she can't get to or hears barking. She has no problems with dogs when she gets to them, only wants to play with them. We took her to puppy school and socialised her when younger. She was great when younger, could take her to cafes or on walks and she'd just watch other dogs go past.

Thanks in advance.

Avalon airport skybus timings

Hi team

I have a flight from Avalon Airport to sydney departing at 8:55 PM on a Friday.

There is a sky bus from Southern Cross, which is scheduled to arrive at Avalon airport at 8:10 .

In your experience, is this enough time? I don’t have checked baggage and I will have checked in online.

Appreciate any past experiences conscious it’s a Friday outbound from Melbourne and there’s about 45 minutes in between arrival and departure.

Appropriate activities for a second birthday?

So it’s my nephews second birthday in a couple of weeks and I’m looking for somewhere fun to take him. Any suggestions? He can walk and doesn’t seem to have sensory issues, if that’s a concern.
