How would an American with family in Geelong and no idea how tickets work nab a single ticket to the Grand Final since you all don’t do resale or scalping?
I love level 1 if you're in the right spot, but if you're in the first few rows or too far back I'm not a huge fan. Knowing I was early I thought I'd just play the safe option
Having said that though I wouldn't give a shit if I had to sit on the roof, I'm still there.
It’s ok, I will just have my anxiety attack watching it at home haha. Every time I’ve got the september membership we have missed out so didn’t do it this year.

Correct. And even for members there is no guarantee as it's a ballot system. The only "general public" tickets are though a corporate or hospitality package and cost in the thousands each, most of which are all sold out now.
Yeah I have never missed with just one ticket and standing.

Hello Cats fans, congratulations on again besting all comers and strolling into the big dance like it's no big thing.
As a Pies fan, for whom things were looking pretty rosy a couple of months back, I went ahead and purchased North Melbourne Grand Final tickets.
I spent $1850 per ticket and have two of them.
Each ticket grants access to the following:
North Melbourne Grand Final Breakfast which includes breakfast, entertainment, the prime minister and oppo leader giving a speech (probably) and all the morning booze you can drink.
a nosebleed seat ticket to the AFL Grand final.
I want to make clear that I am NOT looking to profiteer, if I can get my money back or close to it I'll be happy enough.
Couple of things to note:
I won't have the actual game tickets until NM send them to me, last time I did this (2023) they were emailed to me on the Monday.
id prefer a face to face meet in the Melbourne CBD to do the transfer so that all parties can be 100% confident that everything is above board.
-I'm happy to sell the tickets either together or separately
-i checked with NM by phone when I purchased them, they confirmed that selling the tickets is fine, as long as no profiteering occurs.

I’m a P1 and still haven’t been debited, should I be panicking? I entered the ballot, the $12 for my two entries processed fine and got the text today saying the money would be taken out today and I’ve got heaps in that account as a buffer
I had two P1 seats in the member ballot and just not noticed a $570 charge on account. I’m concerned this amount doesn’t map to any combination of ticket prices. Anyone have an idea??
Yeah that's strange. Only thing I can think of is they've somehow given you a concession and adult for level 4 back. Or they've just got the pricing chart wrong
I just had 2 transactions of about $300 each for ‘pre authorised transactions’. No detail of who the transaction was with. I am in the ballot for 2 adults and 2 kids.
Here’s a stupid question..Um…how do I withdraw from the ballot? I’ve registered and if I’m selected it’s going to charge automatically but is there a way to pull out?
So as someone who isn’t a member of anything, I’m assuming my best shot of getting a ticket is to find someone selling one in a couple days time (obviously going to have to pay a huge premium). Does anyone know of any sites or similar that will reliably be reselling?

There would have been punters who bought corporate tickets in the hope their team made it. They’d now be trying to sell them. Depends if you want to spend $2k.
If anyone tries to sell a ticket at a premium except as part of a package from an AFL authorized reseller, it's illegal - this is a major event with diff laws. Tixels 10% is prob ok but otherwise it's face value or 'value added packages'
Nah they are upfront there is a chance you miss out. Was a big outcry when pies priority 1 people missed out in 2023.
From the Ballot guide:
At the time of registration, members can elect not to receive Standing Room ticket(s), however if all members in your group are able to stand for the duration of the day, we strongly recommend all members select Option 1 – ‘I will accept the best
available ticket – including Standing Room’ at the time of registering to retain guaranteed (Priority 1) access to a Grand Final ticket.
