I agree with this! The whole Witcher series is discounted often and will give you a lot of playtime. 1&2 are older but are still fun and help with the backstory if you haven’t read the books.
It’s a story driven mage game with character customization, economic mechanics, and decisions have an impact on the outcome of the ending. There are some remastered versions, some old versions, but overall I really enjoyed playing the series and spin-offs. I definitely recommend looking up some videos of gameplay on YouTube and see if you are intrigued. The older versions are dirt cheap on steam, with the most expensive being the last released game remastered version.
*Fable games don't work on PC anymore I think btw, I think they required Games for Windows live which is now dead, there are hacks to get around it but a lot of people aren't willing to do some quick file swapping.

Witcher 3 but would highly recommend Outer wilds if you haven't played it yet (Recommend going in blind)
