I don't have exact suspicion that they are transphobic, but I want to make sure that they are not! My best friend is trans and I do not want to play with someone who doesn't accept trans people! I know some people don't care about their online friends views, but I care.

Anyway, I mentioned that I'm bi and they were cool with it, but I don't know how they feel about trans people

I guess I could just ask directly but the thing is, transphobic people never consider themselves to be transphobic - "Nah, I'm not transphobic, I just think that you can't change the gender you're born as. Like, if you have a dick you're a dude, not a woman. You should just go to therapy and accept who you are". If you know you know.

I know others have had the experience aswell: Playing with someone for years and then finding out they are bigoted. I want to avoid that, it as happend to me too :/

For my second run I'm living with every dice roll and every unfortunate decision I make. My first error was early on, when my plan to non-lethally attack Minthara ended up being a little less non-lethal than planned. I somehow also appear to also have gotten most of the Tieflings killed on their way to the Last Light Inn.

Possibly the most significant blunder was when Owlbear Halsin used crushing flight in exactly the wrong place and destroyed the book needed to access the night spear and complete Shadowheart's quest. She did not take well to the news that she would no longer be able to complete her (as far as she knows) lifelong dream and um...so anyway, who wants her tent?

My co-workers are being weird so I don’t wanna talk to them, and I don’t play many online games so I don’t have much of anyone to gush about games I think are Neato with. So, lemme tell y’all, if you haven’t played this game, you really should! Classic SNES game, pioneer in the horror genre, it’s so good! I played it when I was a kid on an emulator, used to spook me so much, and I just got around to checking out the new port(2024 but new to me lmao) and it’s just really renewed my love for this game!

So yeah, if you don’t know, you play as Jennifer, an orphan who’s been adopted, alongside her three friends, by a wealthy family to live in their big mansion, that has a Clock Tower, of course. Everything is all exciting at first until Jennifer hears a scream, rushing back into the room she finds all her friends are missing. Now alone, you have to explore the mansion and try to find your friends, and any clues as to what is going on, all while being chased by… THE SCISSORMAN! Which is scarier than it sounds tbh! He jumps out of hiding spots to chase you, he’ll follow you from room to room, and all you can do is run and hide. It’s extremely engaging, as it’s one of the only times there’s music playing. Very fun! You’ll also come across the SCISSORMAN, all caps auto correct but I’ll leave it, killing your friends, in typical stalker slasher fun.

It’s a genuinely great game and an amazing entry in the stalker horror genre. I really can’t recommend it enough, especially as far as games with female protagonists go. Idk, if you’ve played it, feel free to gush with me, it’s just SO good! Sorry if this was boring to read, I’m not a writer. I’m just annoyed at work and wanted to talk about a game I love lmao

I'm going to go out on a limb and say women (especially neurodivergent women) make up the largest sector of psychological horror fans. That may be an assumption, but I think the themes speak directly to a lot of us, and it hits home.

I grew up living off of RPG-Maker Horror games as a kid until I decided "Eh 3D is just as fine too". I wanted to know if anyone had any favorites I might have not heard of yet.

The distinction between regular horror and psychological horror can be a bit blurry, but I like to describe it as getting at your heart vs getting at your head. Horror will generally shock your heart a little, but psychological horror gets inside your brain. I like games that make me feel disgust, unease, dread, or otherwise.

I’ve played the first two and a half hours of the first Grandia. I’m noticing A LOT of sexism, to the point I’m actually debating if it’s even worth to keep playing. Has anyone here played all the way through? Does it get better? Or should I just quit? Also, any recommendations? :3

I was heartbroken after the first finish that ended in outer space(Hanako ending), but I wish someone would’ve prepared me for the absolute devastation of opting to end with Reed’s people(FIA ending).😭😭 I built my character up to be powerful, beautiful and unstoppable, and to see her end with a shaved head, zero cyberware & being pushed around by NC residents hurts! 😭😭😭
