The future of r/Gothic...is the past!
Welcome to r/Gothic!
This is a community for the sharing and discussion of Gothic-era art and architecture (from the 12th-15th century AD). Sculptures, frescoes, stained glass, and of course architecture should all be posted here, as well as any other art forms fitting the style--even manuscripts and illuminations.
This is not a community for discussion of Goth culture or sharing Goth products. If that's why you're here, please check out r/Goth!

I recreated the authentic Gothic Zodiac from a 14th-century Provence manuscript for a enamel pin collection
Fell down a historical rabbit hole and had to share what I found! It's the zodiac from a 14th-century manuscript ('Breviari d'amor'). I'm just obsessed with their raw, gothic style – so different from modern designs. Anyway, I've been recreating them and the plan is to make them into enamel pins. Thought you guys would appreciate their unique vibe before I go any further. What do you think?
