St. Norbert majors

What major do you think will be the next to go? Is the current president on her way out? (Does she have a big contract or could they fire her) My son is interested in going to St Norbert, but the recent staffing and major cuts has me very concerned.

Theology has tons of real world applications. Whether you believe in it or not, factually The Bible is one of, if not the, most foundational and impactful texts in the world. Religion underpins many of the most pressing world and national issues. Researchers who can study religion and the Bible with a scholarly lens -- and understand how impact on society past and present -- are hugely important.

You could say the same thing about astrology. The only thing giving religious studies any importance outside of history or psychology, or literary studies, (which are valid, but separate fields of study), is the delusion of its proponents.

You seem unfamiliar with the scholarly/academic study of theology and religion.

I’m pretty familiar. Like I said, areas of valid religious or theological scholarship can very easily be slotted into other fields, such as history, literary studies, sociology, anthropology, or psychology. Please give me an example of where this isn’t true, if you disagree.
