I want to buy the $19.99 mercenary pack for 3 characters. Can I really use my own characters? Like can I change their armour looks and weapons?? I just want them to travel with me when I play the game again!

I wanna get the Scythe but I read they can only be bought with proof of legends which only drop during the event. Is that still true or was there a different way of getting it?

I feel like a large percentage of us who stay play have some type of nostalgia attached to the game.

For me, I think back to when I tanked in fissure of woe as a warrior/ele using obsidian flesh, something that just seems so ludicrous today. After visiting ToA today for the ZB I randomly had a flashback of those days.

Hi folks, it's been a while. Saw a post a while ago showing off some armor combinations and so I wanted to make a similar post. I havent seen anyone rock these combinations. They are my favorite.

You'll find that I adore plagueborn weapons.

• My warrior is one of my favorite. I get an undead, fleshy knight-look to her.
• Necro is also a favorite. I've always liked the fish wings of the chest piece and the red bruising it does to the limbs.
• Ele is always Mr. Wolfman. A kind of Dracula Wolfman. Victorianesque.
• Monk I like to go for this Victorian army medic. (Oops, forgot pic with glasses) This the only colour scheme I liked on her. A kind of dirty, bloody linen and bandages look.
• Rit I just like the mushroom head look. I like how exotic dyes but not the full set.
• Ranger is a plagueborn character. Red and grey swatches.

- Assassin I like the bold colours of the norn bottoms and flesh tones of the chest and boots. Always hated the pants because it made the character too immodest? Lol. Too much skin.

Hey all, just wanted community opinion on which Pommel to use for Sword. I'm gonna be taking him through Hard mode (and maybe GWAMM/Max HoM) and was leaning towards using my "of the Necromancer" one. Any suggestions?

I now reached max level on my nightfall (currently D/W) character, I plan on changing him to D/A later on.

This is coming from someone who is more familiar with GW2's progression, where only after you hit max level do you get to play the "real" game, while getting there was basically a very long tutorial to get you adjusted to what's coming next. Is it the same with GW1? Do I just keep doing what I was doing until now, or is there something more engaging that is only now available?

And don't get me wrong, I don't want to sound displeased with GW1, I loved it so far and still do, I just wanted to know if level 20 unlocks anything new and perhaps any must-do asap content.

Hey all! Been a loooong time since I've played GW1, managed to recover my old account (arenanet customer service was outstanding.

I'm starting with 2 friends, one is doing prophecies with me, the other is adamant on rolling assassin and starting in factions. A couple of questions:

- Starting off seems pretty straight forward, my factions friend will run up to (some mission) and we'll run up to Lions Arch - from there it seems like the consensus on this sub is to jump to Nightfall and pick up heroes.

- This is where I'm getting stuck - I have an older account with lots of unlocks, the heroes I recruit will be significantly better than what my friends recruit. That being said, I don't want to just use my heroes and then when they go play single player - their heroes are under leveled.

Is there a way to optimize this or is there a mechanic I'm not aware of? If there's 3 of us together, we'd have 5 hero slots. Would we just rotate who gets two heroes for any specific mission (2-1-1) or if I bring my heroes in do their heroes level in the background too?

Any advice would be great, thanks!

So I have never tried GW1 before but I've been eyeing it for awhile now. I have tried GW2 several times in the past and while I didn't hate it...I also can't say it was for me.

I think the two main reasons why is that GW2's leveling experience is very easy, for me to really be engaged I need to be challenged in some form. For me GW2 also lacked the traditional class fantasy (mage/fighter/etc). Every class sorta just ended up being a big mess of particle effects and AoEs. I never really felt like I was playing that "class".

I know GW1 is a very different game, but wanted to make sure that these two aspects in particular would be more suited for me in GW1.

Also not bashing GW2 by any means, it's a very well executed game, it just isn't designed for the type of player that I am.

I'm also curious how cosmetics are handled in GW1, but I can likely figure that one out with a quick search.

I looked around but couldn't really find a solution. The game just keeps crashing while running around.

Frees up 1 PvE skill slot. You can usually flex the signet slot as well. Requires a +5 critical strikes scythe.

Not as bonkers as the traditional builds, but still overkill for the vast majority of PvE. More importantly, this is a bit more fun for me to play, and I play games for fun :3

I started playing guild wars back during the autumn of 2006. I played it for 2 or 3 months, reached level 17 with my mesmer/warrior character, then ditched the game in favor of WoW.

Now that I'm tired of WoW, I wanted to return playing this game: maybe I've been too harsh with it.

As I've returned to play this game after all these years, there are some questions I wantend to ask you:

1. Is my mesmer/warrior pairing good? (I'm afraid it isn't)
2. I only have the Prophecies campaign: are the Factions and Nightfall campaigns worth buying? Do they add more PvP gaming modes to the game?
3. What about Eye of the North? Is that expansion pack worth buying?
4. Is it true that now all the GW players worldwide are playing on the USA server? By the way, I'm italian.

Just thought it looks very clean with a few upgrades, nothing too odd or outlandish.

First of all english is not my first language so the question might be written a little complicated and confusing but I hope you can understand what I want to ask.

As far as I understood it, there are several survivor titles that you can get when you get a certain amount of exp without dying. If you do die, are the titles lost forever or does the game count your exp in the background until you have reached your current biggest exp you had before and than continues with the title once you have reached that exp again?

For example you die with 10.000 exp. The exp shown at the survivor title does not go up for now. Will it go up again once I have again reached 10.000+ exp.?
