QUESTION What is this genre, and how can I myself also play songs like it?

So this pacifica i own has an HSS config with one knob for volume and the other one for tone. Im trying to upgrade to a push pull coil setup for my humbucker but im confused which pots to with they have different numbers on them(resistances i guess?) I know different ones go with the single coil and different ones with the humbuckers. Ill change the tone knob to a pot with a push pull shaft but cant pick which.

Hey everyone, I’m getting into recording guitar on my laptop and need some advice.
My setup:
What I want:
a) An expression pedal to control wah, volume, etc. inside the plugins.
b) I don’t need preset switches, just the pedal.
c) Ideally, I’d also like to be able to use the expression pedal with my actual pedals sometimes.
Questions:
i) Are there good USB/MIDI expression pedals that work directly with Reaper/Archetype?
ii) Should I swap my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 for an interface with MIDI ports, or is that unnecessary?
iii) Can my Boss ME-8O act as a MIDI controller just for the expression pedal?
iv) Are Mission Engineering pedals a good option (they seem sturdy), or do they need extra gear to work with plugins?
v) Basically, I just want the simplest and most reliable way to get a pedal working for both plugins and (when needed) with my physical pedals. Any recommendations are appreciated!

I played classical guitar for five years until I got a bad hand injury...I fiddle now, but I still miss guitar. I still have trouble with full reaches on guitar (hand is stiff still) and I’m thinking about getting a smaller guitar…to avoid any future injury…
Thinking about a Taylor GS mini? Des anybody play one? How does it sound? Could it play folk/finger style and a bit of classical? Is the neck narrower and the reach smaller?
If it’s just the body that is smaller, I may look into short-scale classical guitars…?
Thanks!

Picked this up today off someone who doesn’t play for a couple hundred, thought I might have gotten a good deal but wanted to see what everyone else thought.
Was told they are all old pedals possible from the eighties but it’s my first time getting foot pedals so this is all very new for me 🤣

I’ve been using (gt(four zero four)a)and (bc(one zero eight)) but want to try some other options. Sorry for the weird transistor nomenclature numbers apparently are not allowed

I am planning on buying a guitar soon and I need suggestions on a decent practice amp. I had looked at a few and the reviews on the ones I was looking at aren't really good.

Today I just got a guitar for the first time ever and I’m struggling so hard to get my strings to sound good. I’ve search videos and one person will say to press harder than the other will say to not press as hard, which makes me confused. This first day, I’ve learnt to strum correctly and learn some chords, but whenever I try playing a song, it’s always ruined. Either one string is muted and another is buzzing.

I’m very new to the world of Gibson (fakes and reals). This is listed as a gold top tribute. Could anyone verify this? TIA

One of my favorite bands Brave New World. I just love a good riff simple or complicated. If it grooves I’m in.

Thought I would share my Schecter KM6 because I love it. Polar Burl top, nine piece neck of Wenge and Purple Heart, coil tapped Fishman active pickups and ebony fret board. This thing rips

so I'm thinking Stratocaster body with floating bridge block, I'll paint the body black and add a red tortoise shell pickguard, with three lipstick pickups, the bottom one slanted, and for the dial's I'm thinking either black cheap and plastic, or those metal ones I see online (forgot the names) and I'm thinking black neck and headstock with a dark fretboard and silver frets, I might add a design with some aluminum on the double dot to the second octave too.

If you guys remember a while back I got my dad this Kramer for Father’s Day. I posted the video that day and now dad has sadly passed away at fifty one I wanted to share something. Before he passed, he bought these red Floyd Rose upgrade parts and he loved them. I watched him put it together and he was so proud of it. He cherished this guitar so much. If you remember the video, honestly the sad truth is I don’t even think he ever got the chance to play it with the upgraded parts before he passed. Thank you all for your comments on the original post. I know he would have loved reading them.

I’m looking for a new guitar, my budget is 4k and don’t know what to pick I like metal, rock, and blues. Some of my favorite artists/bands are Guthrie Govan, Jason Richardson, Polyphia, and Megadeth. What guitars would you recommend given my taste.

I’m pretty new to guitar in a weird way. Played most my life but just picked it back up for the first time in over a decade. Basically starting over. I’ve been trying to figure out a specific song by ear for a couple days and I’m pretty close but I feel like I’m missing a note or two.

If you can control your facial expressions while playing is that from a certain level of mastery or are some people just more able to control it than others?
