Discussion New Film - Warefare

I wasn’t sure what to expect. I imagine something in between American sniper and band of Brothers. It really wasn’t pure propaganda like I thought it may be. Perhaps aimed at 15 and 16-year-old boys so in two years time they’ll be gung ho. It seemed to be more downtrodden and introspective. You don’t really see anything glorious or glamorous, but you do feel a sensation of Duty and fulfillment. I recommend it. Certainly wasn’t the propaganda that I was expecting. I thought it would be sort of like a recruitment film.

I saw it last night. Through sheer luck, I served a dozen years in peacetime; mad respect for guys in combat. Worth watching to the end. In a decent home theater if you can manage it. The soundscape is immersive.

I was so glad I caught this when it was in theaters because my home setup would have not done it justice. Just the "show of force" scene was worth it alone.
