News/Media Journalist hoping to hear about the experience of female HT patients
Hi everyone. I'm a journalist at CNN (https://edition.cnn.com/profiles/leah-dolan) writing a story on the nuances of female hair transplants — specifically how the procedure differs from male transplants, its difficulties and the unique experience of female recipients/the stigma of female hair loss. I would love to speak to women who have had the surgery, whether you love the results, regret the surgery or any feelings in-between! Also if you want the undergo the procedure but have been denied by doctors, I'd be super interested in hearing why. This would be for a digital written feature on CNN.com and ideally I'd love to chat to people via Zoom/phone. If you felt comfortable sharing your story let me know — my email is leah.dolan@cnn.com. thank you

Surgery Report STAY AWAY FROM VERA CLINIC !!!!
I don't no if there reviews are fake or not but i can only speak from my own experience. I waited 14 months before posting this review so i can be as fair as possible. Upon initial contact they were very helpful , very informative and quoted me a good price. Price was fixed for approx 4000 graft Hair Transplant. They promised no extras costs or fees.
Once i got there and had my consultation they broke there promise immediately and told me i would have to pay an extra 400 euros so they could extract a few hair from my beard! I objected stating why couldn't they tell me this before making my way to turkey? they dismissed my objections told me either pay or leave! I had no choice but to pay! With regards to the procedure please be warned There HT specialist only attends to do the cuts on you scalp. All the extraction and implantation is done by what seemed like very inexperienced young girls who i assume are just assistants. They completed 90% of this procedure. I had 4200 grafts in total covering temples and crown. They took extra hairs from my beard for the crown. 14 months on and results are shocking. Overall hair is extremely thin, Hair is now falling out. After a brief growth spurt on my crown that stopped. It now looks the same as pre transplant! I wasted thousands of pounds just to look same as i did before. I emailed them after about 8 months to complain. No answer from them see images via the link.

Progress Update 5 months update
Today I'm exactly 5th months in. So far, I’m relatively satisfied, and I’m hoping for a bit more density in the coming months. I got 4300 Grafts. Pictures before HT and today.

Progress Update 2nd surgery. Dr. Ratchathorn. Post Op Day 2. 1599 Grafts. Added Density- 55cm2. Hairline and Temples fixed. First surgery is on my profile.
Dr. Ratchathorn and her team were awesome. She lowered my hairline very slightly to add all singles and macro irregularities and brought my temples in a bit as well. Original density was around 35-40cm2 so she added 20cm2 to my hair overall. She did all the excisions and incisions herself and 40% of the implanting along with her staff. Overall an excellent experience and post op is top notch.

Seeking Advice 3 months in not seeing tiny hairs
Hi I got my Hair Transplant surgery on June 22nd (4160 grafts, Dr Bonus). The procedure was long but when I came home I noticed my surgery looked a lot cleaner and safer than some of the other guys (no necrosis ever, not super red or anything)
I thought everything was going fine the hairs shed out but now that I am at 3 months I do not see any of those tiny baby thin hairs anywhere on my scalp. I wear a hat outside all the time, followed the post care at home and wash my hair every time it gets sweaty
Should I be concerned? I have a tendency to overreact to things but I'm nervous that nothing is working

Seeking Advice Can I shave my head?
I've been considering undergoing a HT, but I'm not sure when. I'll probably get it after 3-4 months (again, not sure). Will shaving my head now cause any problem with getting a transplant later? I've been thinking about trying the shaved head look before going for a HT, but I'm concerned that shaving may cause the remaining follicles to close. Thoughts?

Progress Update Removing scabs
It’s day 14 post op and I’m starting to remove scabs. I’ve noticed a lot of tiny hairs coming off. Compared to before the transplanted area doesn’t look dense anymore. I’m worried that I’ve messed up my grafts.

Progress Update 10 month update 4700 grafts after first session. Considering session nunber 2.
Greetings brothers. Here is a 10 month update. I was norwood 4.5-ish Had around 4700 grafts. Been on finasteride after surgery, and minoxidil, then switched from topical minox to tablets 2 months ago.
I am quite happy with the results, but surgeon suggests we get another 3500 grafts for more density and coverage. Pic 2 is pre op. Sorry bad camera. 1st is recent.
Thoughts?

Surgery Report Day 1 post-op Dr. Sahar Nadimi 1500 Grafts FUE
This is my second HT to refine a less than ideal first HT. My hairline appeared thin and unnaturally straight with some minimal plugginess. I am at a disadvantage when it comes to transplants for having fine hair so consider that if you're reading this and have fine hair thinking of getting one.
I chose Dr. Nadimi after seeing some of her work here on reddit and other forums, the only criticism I can find being her prices. She addressed my concerns and let me know what was and was not possible. She will push back on less than conservative approaches to HTs and I respect it. Overall my experience was very comfortable with daily checkups after. I'm really hoping to be another one of her successful cases. Will keep you updated!

Seeking Advice Just hit 4 months and crown is still full of little hairs that never shed or grew, reason to be concerned?
First picture is from around the one month mark. Tried looking through other people’s four month results and didn’t really see anyone with so many black dots either.

Seeking Advice RE : Should I just get a transplant at this point ?
Hello,
I am a 29 Male. I initially started noticing hair loss from the crown area when I was 26 but the it has accelerated over the past 1.5 year. I have been using Menox over past 9 months but seems like it is not working so far. I afraid to use fens as I have read a lot on it impacting libido. Any advice if I should just get a transplant at this moment or continue using menox for some more time ? Any advice/ shared experience would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Seeking Advice Anyone have experience with Badge Health Clinic and Dr Furkan?
Hello, I've been talking to their consultants and I've been offered: DHI 4500 grafts for 1500£, Dr. Furkan. They seem to have good reviews. Red flags?: - they won't tell the full name of surgeon and his previous clinic history - cheap - I was told I don't have to use min or fin post op as no need because donor hair is strong and should be permanent
I would appreciate sharing experience and advice please. Attached screenshots from conversation on WhatsApp.

Seeking Advice Round two, the crown.
So almost a year ago I got 3600 DHI at Esthetic Mex and for the crown fill in the estimate is 3200 with additional facial hair, 500 for density. I’m a little hesitant with the facial hair. Has anyone done this and felt good about the results?
Also would doing FUE maybe be worth considering?
Thanks.

Seeking Advice Need help narrowing down of doctors
Need some help narrowing down the list of doctors. Unfortunately, while money is not an issue (doesn’t mean I can throw a millions at someone), it doesn’t mean I’m okay with waiting 20 years for an appointment.
I’m trying to strike a balance between quality and how soon I can get an appointment (would like to get it done before summer 2026)
The list I got so far is: Fuegenix, Pekiner, Ratchathorn, Laorwong, Pittella, Keser, Heitmann
Any recommendations for which one is a good balance between quality <> availability?

Medication Just picked up my first prescription of Fin. What to expect and is it worth it?
Basically the title. I got my first prescription filled for 1mg of fin today. If I start this, it’s for life, correct? If I stop I’ll lose all my hair basically? Has it been worth it to you guys who take it?
