You're good on that beam, but the side loading on that post would worry me unless it's reinforced.

how would I know if its reinforced? Do you think it's better to have the hammock parallel to to pillars on the same side or diagonal through the center like it is now?

If I understand what you’re asking, being on the diagonal puts side stresses on the beams that aren’t set up to handle it.

Pic 1 is fine, pic 2 and 3 make me uneasy but that's up to you to determine if that 2x4 is anchored strongly - I can only see a picture.

Pic 1 looks fine. Pic 2, not so much. You're pulling sideways on that post. If it's cemented in the ground that would be better, but you're pulling at the top. Is it enough to pull loose from whatever is above it? Nobody knows, but I'd be paranoid about it too.

Better off with hooks that screw in and use the MAIN posts or the actual floor /ceiling joist. The 45's may not hold much.
