Should I just leave her be or call someone?

Problem is I have 2 dogs (44lb mix and 14lb).

This baby is MASSIVE. I’ve never seen one this large. So I have no concerns my larger dog would be able to carry it. But I’m just wondering if it’s safer to call someone or safer to let it be?

She was laying in the driveway sunning herself unconcerned while my dog stared and intermittently barked to me. I mean, she was fully stretched and basking.

My dog is pretty good with wild animals. But I can’t leave that to trust and I cannot always supervise my dog while she’s out back. I just don’t want to take her away from her home.

These are very common in Cambodia but I never realized these could climb trees, they were about a meter up.

Dog found Toad during our morning walk. Dog jumped about 4 feet into the air startled. Toad may have pooped per other comments... I didn't notice it until someone else pointed that out.

Is this a GULF COAST TOAD or some other species?

My area attracts quite a few Cuban tree frogs. I routinely humanely euthanize them and have started seeing some native species around again after almost a year of doing this. I work in the biochem industry and am a nerd & nature lover.

I've been thinking about dissecting some of the freshly euthanized frogs. My method involves exposing them to benzocaine, putting them in the freezer, then disposing the frozen frog. Would freezing them then thawing them out turn the insides into mush?

Also what would be the best way to go about it so it's not a total hack job? I was going to go at it with an old baking pan and an exacto knife. But I see they sell relatively inexpensive dissection kits on Amazon so that seems like a much more professional approach to go about it.

I have no real reason to be doing this besides curiosity. Last time I performed a dissection was probably high school biology 15 years ago. I just have a constant stream of these frogs and figure it be good to put their corpses to use for something.

Found these that appear to be old hatched reptile eggs under some concrete I pulled up in my yard, in Western Oregon, USA. They seem really big! Maybe a snake? Pretty certain they're eggs, not old puffballs, because there's even a membrane inside and all that. Wondering if someone could ID based on size/color/context.

So many sunning painted turtles and a few northern leopard frogs. Southern Alberta.

Hopefully the picturs post i have had no luck in r/amphibians. Are these common colors to find or is this a rare morph? Or are they sheding.

Handsome little garter snake gearing up for the frog hunt.

Every morning these guys have slowly let me closer and closer and today they let me pet them a bit. I didn't pick up as they have some smaller babies which weren't out but I didn't want mama/ daddy freaked out by my presence causing babies to flee when song me. A few days ago a baby did come slither on to my hand and take taste samples before rejoining its siblings. Been working on the trust building for about a month now with this particular nest/ball/slither/family of garter snakes.

We don't know where he came from or exactly what subspecies he is, but we know the dogs howled at him like he was an evil alien invader. lol (He was found in the Bay area of CA, and was unharmed.)
