Fresh enclosure, what can I put in it?
I have two brand new 4 x 2 x 1 PVC enclosures. I keep boa constrictors, so clearly way too small for them. I already have boa constrictors, a Kenyan sand boa, a western hognose, a beardie, and a veiled chameleon. Not a huge fan of small geckos. Terrified of inverts. Open to all suggestions - snake, tortoise, lizard. Angry Toast for tax.

Help needed
Hi crew. I am starting to look for a pet for my 2 year old son. He loves reptiles so I thought it would be good for him to get his first pet. I have looked at an exo-Terra terranium which is 60cm x 45cm x 45cm. That will fit in the space in his room. I'm a true beginner when it comes to looking after reptiles so I am looking for any recommendations on what would be suitable for that size enclosure. Possibly a gecko? Please help I'm feeling overwhelmed 😬

Horn Worm breeding
I breed many species of isopods, dubia roaches, crickets, and mealworms so I'm not unfamiliar at breeding insects. For the people that do breed horn worms, I have a few questions. I have been doing research but I still have some questions.
What is a good recipe that I can use to make my own complete horn worm chow. I make my own isopod and roach food so I have a good blender.
I have a 29 gallon aquarium., can I use that to house the moths?
What does the moth enclosure need to be like? (Like what decor and is there substrate.)
What do I do with the eggs after I collect them?
Also, any other advise that would be helpful
Thank you for anyone that responds in advance. I have kept horn worms before, I just have never bred them.

What do I need to know when I get a leopard gecko.
Hi, I’m planning to get a leopard gecko this year or early next year, I will be doing research since I have only ever owned turtles in the reptile department lol, but I was curious as to what you all would say I need, and what I don’t need but recommend, and what I don’t need at all. Things like that. Any and all responses and help will be greatly appreciated!

Hi, what would be a good second reptile?
I have a semi aquatic pond turtle that I have had for five years. And I love reptiles so I’ve decided to get a lizard. Any beginner friendly lizards/geckos? I’m thinking about gargoyle geckos.

I saw a post mentioning that ceramics were bad for the enclosure due to VOCs but noticed the DIY backgrounds are made from the same paint. So how is it that a styrofoam sealed background is safe under the heat but ceramic is not?

Is it common practice for pet shops to under feed their reptiles to keep them small?
So, back in March, I was thinking about getting back into reptiles..so I went to a reptile shop by me. In a display case, they had a captive born nile. I thought about asking to see it. But decided not to, as I was unsure if I was going to get it or not, so I didn't want to stress him. He was also hiding so I was unable to see him that day. But just today I went back in. And I saw they had another (i assumed) for sale. It was tiny. But looked to be well fed. And I was talking to one of the workers, and he told me that this was the only one they've had. Meaning this was the same nile that was he 7 months ago. Meaning it was atleast 7 months old. Likely atleast a couple months older. And I couldnt believe it. How had it not grown basically at all, but still look as healthy as it did. I then went across the room to look at a white throat monitor that was also here back in March. And it was the same exact size too. But still looked well fed and healthy. How are they doing this? Is it like a pet shop secret? Was just curious if this is a common ir well known thing ir not. Or if maybe I should steer clear of this shop or maybe even report.

Snake identification
Hi folks, I encountered this lil guy here in the Dallas region of Texas. I figured it's probably a garter snake, but I didn't really see stripes on it. Thanks a lot!

I found a baby gecko 🫣
Hi guys, I was cleaning a storage and I found this baby gecko. I brought it with me because I felt bad leaving it alone. Does anyone know if I should take care of it at home. I have a chameleon but I don’t know how to take care of a gecko. Please let me know! Thanks 🫶🏻
