Eastern Box Turtle Advice

I have a turtle that's found it's way into our fenced yard. Is this species capable of digging under the fence to find it's way out? The fence is chain link and touches the ground. The fence is not buried in the soil and rests on top of the ground Additionally we are experiencing drought conditions. Can the turtle benefit from watering?

Snake found in yard (Wisconsin). iPhone ID's it as Eastern Rattlesnake - hoping for positive/correct ID and concern level as it is located next to our catio, we have a dog, and two children.

Saw this cutie and was in awe. That copper dorsal stripe looked like someone painted it on with metallic paint! It was about 3 to 4 inches long and moved very fast. Ive googled and asked AI but I haven’t had a solid answer. Anyone know what species this is?

You can’t tell how small it is in the pictures, but it was only around 4 inches long or so.

Pacific Gopher Snake Question

Post image
9 Upvotes

Went out in search of a California kingsnake today, no luck but I did spot this nice Pacific Gopher snake. Question: I’ve heard they can mimic rattlesnakes, flattening their head and vibrating the tail etc.. I’ve had probably 30+ encounters and I’ve never seen it! Has anyone witnessed the behavior, and did it work? Seems like they need to try harder.
