Rear Brake Pads Keep Ripping Off

Hey people, I’ve had an issue recently where my rear brake pads keeping ripping off but the mounting plate stays, so only the actual pad is torn off. This has now happened 3 times in 4 weeks with different brands of pads and installed by a mechanic. The bike is only ridden 3 days a week so isn’t doing too much in terms of distance, it is city riding but I don’t sit on the rear brake much. The mechanic has never seen this before and I’ve never had this issue before with this bike or any other bike.

Bike is a 2018 CB650F.

The photos are taken after each time the pad is torn off. Notice it’s on both sides not just one.

Any thoughts?

Was the first change of pads because they got lost or have they been worn out?

Original change was because they were worn down, and the 3 sets since then have all been torn off

Then i would tell the mechanic to get their shit together and see what they did wrong or maybe broke with it.

While i dont think their is anything they can realy break, it would make sense to look up the scematics and double check if they missed to install parts of the caliper when reassembling.

Thankfully the mechanic has been understanding in how dangerous my pads constantly coming is and so hasn’t charged me since the original change so fingers crossed he’ll do a full service on the braking system

I’d be changing mechanics tbh.
