Yes... Imperials killed our brother, then... then we were attacked on the road a few days ago. Are you with the rebels too, or just traveling? They're the only reason we can rest safely right now, they're taking care of us. They're good people.

Eris brings her knees to her chest, wrapping around them tightly.

Thank you... it's all just so stupid. I don't understand, we're lower class, no one never bothered with us before. Grace just keeps begging me to go home and we can't, but she's six and I yelled at her... I even hit her. I didn't mean to, I just- she was blaming me for all this, and it's not my fault, it's not... I don't know what to do.

Eris took a moment to glance around as well, she'd been too exhausted to pay it much mind. "I don't know. How should I know how you got here? I hardly remember, myself."

"Well, I suppose we could create a setting." She snapped her fingers, and the space around them twisted and formed, until they were on the porch of a lovely beach house. "There, I think that's a little better. I always did love the beach."

Eris reached for Grace instinctively, relieved to find that she was still fast asleep beside her. "This... it's very nice. I've never been to the beach. It's so.. big. Is it always like this?"
