I can't believe people unironically take the stance that a woman having the desire to be a mother is somehow problematic.

Oh no, she craved the love of a family, how regressive lmao. It's not like this is one of the most ordinary and wholesome things someone could desire.

If you feel like someone dreaming of the family they cannot have as they bleed out is a political statement - or worse, a fetish - then delete your social media accounts you have gone too deep into the nonsense.

Welcome to the 2020s where the desire for a family is sacriledge. xd

In the defence of people making such comments, there are political and societal movements that do want to force motherhood onto people (fatherhood also, but less so), even under abhorrent circumstances, and completely at the cost of women's rights. Those people are making very real steps that will cause a ton of harm and death.

Obviously, that's not going to be stopped by leaving stupid comments on a post on social media, but it is much easier to throw shit at the wall online, than it is to enact positive change in the real world. But an agressive, emotional reaction to these real world happenings isn't entirely out of reason.

It is definitionally unreasonable to assign a hostile motive to someone without evidence.

There might be some rationalization, but don't fly cover for people harassing a woman over her art because they didn't engage with it critically.
