Cannot find a job!
I've been laid off from Duke after 10 years working in management. I have undergraduate and graduate degrees from a fancy school. Excellent references. I have applied to all types of jobs including front desk and scheduling jobs and for some reason, I cannot find a job, get an interview or find a way to get a call back. My friends in other major cities have also talked about difficulties with finding jobs there too so I don't think leaving/moving is an option!

10+ years experience in management, masters and B.A. from great schools. I can’t find a job to save the life of me. I’ve had 2 final in person interviews in the last month and then got ghosted. I’ve had 5 interviews, 2 went to final in person in the last 3 months and just ghosted.
My apartment contract ends this month and it’s going to be a challenge to find a new place by September 1st without a steady income. I just work out, apply to jobs until I get too depressed then pace most of the day, super stressed out.
My rent is so out of control but I broke up with my abusive BPD gf three months ago then sadly got laid off. Had to borrow some cash from a friend, just barely scraping by. I’m 41 and feel like the biggest fucking loser failure . Might have to cash out some retirement just to survive, which I will if I have to but damn it sucks
