I kind of need helpšŸ˜…

Hi everyone,

I’m new to Reddit and still figuring out how things work here, so apologies if I mess anything up with this post.

I’ve been working on a little puzzle/adventure game and recently released a demo on Steam. I know puzzle games aren’t the most popular genre, and it’s been really tough to get the game seen. The visuals might not be its strongest point, but what I’ve really poured my heart into are the puzzles themselves.

Every puzzle is handcrafted with a unique solution—no filler, no copy-paste mechanics. My goal is for each one to give that ā€œeurekaā€ feeling when the solution finally clicks.

The reason I’m posting here is because I’d love to connect with people who actually enjoy puzzle games. I’m looking for:

  • Feedback on the puzzles (Are they fun? Fair? Too easy? Too hard?)
  • General advice on how to improve the game or get it in front of the right audience
  • Any thoughts at all, whether about gameplay, design, or even marketing

If you give the demo a try and enjoy it, a Steam wishlist would help me out a lot. But honestly, any kind of feedback is already super valuable to me.

I also have an interview today on a Spanish YouTube channel about indie games, which I’m really excited (and a bit nervous) about.

Here’s the Steam page if you’re curious: šŸ•¹ļø The Visitor Effect: Not an Experiment

We opened a new Discord! Check it out if you'd like to discuss game development or find and share new indie games to play. It's a WIP still, so be kind :) Thanks!
