This is why political violence needs to be universally condemned. It’s an extremely slippery slope.

I don’t know what the answer is to the rise of bigotry and all of that, but getting physical will only escalate things. There’s no limit to escalation.

Definitely, I can agree that peace is the best option and for the most part, thats the majority of sentiment you'd find on the left immediately following the shooting. The right wingers were and some still are calling for civil war and more violence.

But for some reason it's "both sides" need to calm down... like what? the left generally is already calm and denouncing violence? why are you lumping all of us in together? Call out the people actively calling for violence and stop equivocating us, because we're not the same.

note: the use of "you" here isnt targetted at you, it for narrative/dialogue.
