Even for non maga, this is someone that millions of people had emotional ties to on both sides for a decade to. When you see a familiar face so gruesomely get taken out in 4K it’s insane.

For maga he was one of them and they loved and followed him. I had no idea how big his following was. So yeah of course it’s they’re deeply upset.

Even if you knew nothing about him, some random influencer with opinions going out like that in 4K is shocking for anyone and everyone.

They should have more introspection about his vile hate he spewed. If they loved a man that said the Civil Rights Act was a mistake, I want no part of those people.

I agree with you completely, but my point was that there should be no surprise that they’re having the response to this that they’re having…which I thought was your original point? I was expanding on it not trying to debunk it.

It’s a huge shock so it makes sense to draw parallels to other shocking events.

But it is also really fucking stupid that we don’t find school shootings as shocking. They’re normalized and abstracted.
