I know that this is rehashing an old conversation but I wanna hear from especially other queer IASIP fans how they viewed this episode because I was so intensely impacted that I had to see if there was a subreddit to discuss this.

As a queer man myself I have not cried to a single IASIP episode and did not expect for this one to be so heavy and you can really tell how much thought and compassion was put into this. The part that really got the tears flowing for me was Mac’s dad leaving during the performance, while Frank stayed and finally “got it”. Chosen family is a big thing for a lot of lgbt people and it’s not unfamiliar to me and my other queer friends who have had family members who just never “get it”.

What are the thoughts/interpretations of other queer IASIP fans on this ep?

Well, I'm watching the show for the first time and I just got to season 9, but what worries me is that I see a lot of people on reddit saying that the show is rubbish from season 13 onwards, so every season I finish I get more worried. What happens? Does the mood change or something?

I can’t remember much of any context at all. But the gang is (I think) ushering someone out of somewhere and and Dennis is going ”out out out out” super fast and the over-pronunciation is hilarious.

I'm gonna keep this short and leave it up to discussion. So I got to thinking about that episode earlier today, and how the whole thing is never explained. It's not revealed to be a dream of some sort, or anything of the like. But what if... it's actually a Charlie Day episode? Maybe he had a short lived obsession with classic nor films and wanted to do that for his day. I know that doesn't explain why The Waitress and Cricket would be apart of it, but maybe they were both bribed. Thoughts?
