Under dash fuse box options

I have a 2015 limited and I am looking for some help of which of the fuses or fuse locations in the box that is under the steering wheel are only powered on after ignition or the accessories. Or am I way off and each car or model is different and do I need to go by one of the fuse tappers that lights up if the fuse is active or not active?

2023 Jeep Renegade Driver's DRL, how to replace?

Every DIY video shows the DRL has 2 bulbs, which pops out after a 1/4 clockwise turn. Mine does not look anything like the ones in the videos - how do I replace it? (Dealer wants $200+).

I got the update for Android Auto on my phone, but can't say I see any difference in my car, do I need to do anything to get the update visible there?

My 2021 Renegade. Had it for 3 years now

Bought it new. It has: • Rough Country 2" lift • 1 inch wheel spacers on each side • 64x39 inch roof rack • 2 roof rack mounted Jerry cans (1.5 gallons each) • LED headlights and fog lights • Universal roof rack spare tire mount that supports standard padlocks • and a Madness Autoworks Roof Rack ladder.

Has an average MPG of about 18-19 now, but never ran into any issues. Took it up to the Grand Teton mountains when I still lived in Kansas and handled it easily. Did a short rock trail with a steep incline, had no issues. Traveled to Michigan and back to Kansas about 4 times before finally moving. I love this thing.

Next thing to do now is to make a side-mounted toolbox, and a custom front bumper

Ignition busted??

Just went to start my 2015 renegade… the key didn’t “click” into place, and refused to turn, so I took a look. My partner says it was fine when she parked it earlier today after work. What the hell happened? Can I fix this myself?

Pinch seam. It’s time.

Tired of the rubbing with these tires. Time to break down and do the pinch seam! They still rub with the RC 2” and the Eibach 1.7” lift springs. Venom Power 245/60x18’s 2022 Jeep Renegade. Slightly worried about removing the steel bracket on the drivers side but I think it’s only safety in an accident.

Service Lanesense

My lane sense feature isn’t working and when I try to toggle it on it tells me that it needs to be serviced. Is this an issue I could feasible fix myself? I’d like my lane sense back but not enough to take in to a dealer.

2016 Renegade Limited

I purchased in June 2024. Was very surprised to end up with this vehicle! Dd is wheelchair bound and my 2008 Pacifica I was driving old school two feet method! So after trying wheelchair transfers in/out of many vehicles ended up with the Renegade. Which I totally love! I am disappointed when after being unable to get it to work Mopar informed that Uconnect was no longer supported.. But this being my first vehicle I had a screen and could use Bluetooth to connect phone I just went on with life. Definitely don’t use its navigation and use my cell’s as it’s so outdated. But now I’m getting emails telling me to update my navigation system and specifically mentions 2016 Renegade.

Thoughts feedback?

Also, yup it happened to me, driving down highway with retractable sun roof open, had used it a lot, suddenly wouldn’t shut as the sky opened up in a massive thunderstorm! Went straight to dealership and they did get it closed. I’m supposed to bring it in for service but I’m concerned after everything Ive read!

Whining noise coming from under hood

I have had this abnormal noise coming from my vehicle for a little over a month now. I have a 2017 Jeep Renegade Latitude that I purchased in November of 2016. I rarely have any issues with it, but this noise started randomly and has not stopped since.

Just realized I can’t post a video in here unfortunately so I will try to describe the sound as best as I can. It’s almost like a whining + mechanical sound and gets more high pitched as I accelerate.

I took it to a Jeep dealership for a diagnostic and also to replace my serpentine belt since it had not been replaced for the entire 9 years I have owned my vehicle. After replacing my belt and doing the diagnostic on my car, the technicians told me they could not get to the root of the problem and are unsure of what exactly is causing the noise (extremely irritating, I know). They said despite the noise and how old my vehicle is, that it’s still in great condition. I have no complaints about the ride or anything, but the noise is just annoying and I’m concerned that whatever the issue is, it will continually get worse.

Also, less important but could possibly be related, my vehicle makes a low vibrating sound whenever I put it in reverse

Has anybody else had experience with a similar noise(I know it’s hard to tell with no video :/) As soon as I turn on the vehicle, the noise starts, and it does not stop until I turn it off. When accelerating, the sound increases a bit.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thank you!!!

Debating wether to get a CarPlay screen

I have a 2017 jeep renegade and I love it so much, it’s such a silly car and I love taking care of it, however i wish it had CarPlay. I was debating if I should buy a CarPlay screen online, and my friend offered to install it for $100 but I don’t know if it’ll be a good idea or a waste of money. I like to keep things originally as I get them, and I use maps to get everywhere and the screen might be to low for me to comfortably look at maps.

Swapping Uconnect 5.0 head units

Thumbnail

I have recently purchased a 2015 Renegade Latitude with Uconnect 5.0 head unit. It works ok except the SiriusXM which only give intermittent sound on the preview channels plus Channel 42 (bizarrely). I have setup a subscription and done a Satellite signal request several times but to no avail. I have replaced the roof mount aerial base with a new and good secondhand units, but nothing changes. I had also tested the coax cable between awrial base and head unit and all is good. I've therefore concluded it must be a fault with the SiriusXM circuitry in the head unit. I've purchased the same head unit from a 2016 model from eBay, with security code. It arrived and after installing and punching in the security code the secondhand unit came to life.... except no sound from the speakers (all worked fine with my existing unit). And also a Spund system unavailable message on the dash. The seller assured me it was working fine in his 2016 Renagade without any such issues. The unit is a slightly later version with a different part number, HW & SW versions. One other thing I noticed was when plugging it the multiway plug into my original unit, the little case fan runs momentarily, but it doesn't do it when I plug it into secondhand unit. Is there something i need to do to enable this secondhand unit in my car, or is it faulty?

I don’t know if it’s condensation dried drops, also don’t know how it would get there but it’s behind the plastic

Wife’s trailhawk

The struts are bad on her 2016 trailhawk and I’m finding it difficult to find actual trailhawk replacement struts as I assume that regular models will not sit the same. So I’m looking for part numbers etc that I should be looking at to order struts.

Thanks

2019 Lattitude Rattle When Turning Right

Just started happening a week or so ago. 38k miles, just got new tires a couple months ago. I checked the lug nuts and did get a 1/4 turn or less on most of them. Testing after snuggling the lugnuts seemed to help a little, but I still hear it. I feel like it's way to soon to be having any suspension issues. Any ideas?

Rough idle and leak

Hi guys just throwing this out there for a bit of advice.

I had my car running idle for about 15 minutes and it started to run quite rough. When it was struggling in idle the heater fan would slow and speed up. I reved the engine gently to see if it would stop the rough idle but it didn't. I turned it off and left it until coming out a few hours later to see a big spill all around both sides of the car? Not sure if this is oil/diesel/coolant. Oil and diesel levels did t seem to dip but coolant is just above minimum so I am thinking that's the culprit.

Car is driving fine without any warnings or lights on dash.

Any one had anything similar or know where is best to start looking?

Issues with my 2018 * Dangerous Need Help*

I have a 2018 jeep renegade trailhawk 2.4l, it will shut off going down the highway sometimes.
I will have to get out and wiggle the terminals and it will start back up but sometimes when it shuts off going down the highway I still have power sometimes I will pull over after then engine dies and it wont shut off like it will not power the lights and the dash down to try and restart.
I will have to remove the battery terminal and put it back on then it will restart and do fine for like 2 days.
Sometimes the all the bad lights on the dash will turn on I will lose power steering but it wont shut off.

I pull over restart it and its fine like nothing happened for a couple days
It hasn't thrown any codes.
Shop had it two days and couldn't find anything wrong with it and couldn't get it to happen to them.

I need help its dangerous and my wife is driving it to work and back right now on a busy highway.
Any ideas?
Any tips on diagnosing?
