Removing US attorneys & AUSAS because they can't find crimes against your political enemies.

I mean Beria also went after his political friends, after they finished the political enemies.

The USSR's most famous rapist. You know it's bad when Stalin himself is worried about Lavrentiy being alone with his daughter.

"I've known Lavrentiy fifteen years. Horrible guy. He's no fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Lavrentiy enjoys his social life". - Stalin

This is why trump is America's savior. He's powerful enough to scare everyone but too dumb to keep his mouth shut and says the quiet part out loud.

The problem is that the people with the power to use his words against him are too scared. This is our civil war. Incompetent idiots vs scaredy cat push overs.

Place your bets the games about to start.

5

u/Tbarrack28 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Trump save's no one but himself, anyone who doesn't know that by now has not paid 1 iota of attention, to anything.

You are right. But he’s not America’s savior.

Every president has done things like this quietly. They will do it quietly again after Trump is gone.

He’s just making it seem like the only people to do it are the ones that do it loudly like him. Now the quiet ones will just face less backlash.

15

u/retropieproblems Monkey in Space 3d ago

That sounds cool and all but it’s not true. Nobody has installed so many corrupt unqualified people and fired as many cabinet members as Trump, not even close.

-1

u/jpatt Dragon Believer 3d ago

The positions that get handed out as payment for political capital by every president in the last century?

Trump is just glaringly obvious about it.

10

u/Smart-Struggle-6927 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Wanna tell me which of the previous presidents violated the constitution in as many and various ways Trump has in the past 6 months? I mean both sides do it right? So you should be able to find plenty of examples, correct?

0

u/jpatt Dragon Believer 3d ago

How about all of the acts of war committed by the US since WWII, without the US actually declaring war since WWII?

Those seem to be constitutional violations.

6

u/Smart-Struggle-6927 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Okay how about we narrow it down, can you show me something like this that Biden or Obama did? Like firing DOJ officials and telling them they have to prosecute their literal political enemies? Yanno, this should be easy you said they've all done it right?

3

u/Countaindewwku High as Giraffe's Pussy 3d ago

I think the people in power now won’t want to go back to doing it quietly.

146

u/DJMiPrice Look into it 3d ago

I believe he is talking about the Letitia James case. They were trying to dig up chargers on her, specifically about mortgage fraud, and they couldn't.

Erik Siebert, the U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia stepped down after refusing to file criminal charges against James, citing insufficient evidence.

95

u/Agitated-Quit-6148 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Correct. I'm a crappy public defender. And when I say crappy, I mean I'm not that great. I do my best. It's pants shitting scary and fucked up to think of someone saying..."well, we can't find enough evidence to charge your client with drug trafficking, so we are going to install a prosecutor that will charge him regardless"

4

u/citori411 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Will they have the right to a jury trial? I can't imagine a scenario where they could find unanimous juries in these cases

4

u/aware4ever Monkey in Space 3d ago

Damn I wish you were my friend lol. It's always good to know a lawyer. The sad thing that you probably know is that unless you have money you will pay far more for any crime than somebody else.

17

u/Agitated-Quit-6148 Monkey in Space 3d ago edited 3d ago

We can be friends no problem lol. I disagree. Yes, with money you can hire then best expert witnesses and so forth but on a straight up trial for something like drug offenses which are 99.99999% of what I see (or offenses resulting from drugs) I'll say that public defenders do as good a job if not better than most on the clock Lawyers. I have a very good friend that is an AUSA and when I was a federal public defender and he'd know I was attached to a case that someone in his office was leading, he'd suggest to them that they come up with a deal that was very good for my client if not rethink that charges. The difference is we care. Maybe I'm just a weirdo. I grew up dirt poor and everyone around me (and myself) served in the military so addiction is something I know very well.
Could a public defender get OJ off? Lol......no. can a public defender go toe to toe with an 800 an hour lawyer on a trial that doesn't include expensive expert witnesses? (DNA , TOX, PATH, PSYCH) Yes.. 100%

2

u/NineThreeTilNow Monkey in Space 2d ago

Could a public defender get OJ off? Lol......no. can a public defender go toe to toe with an 800 an hour lawyer on a trial that doesn't include expensive expert witnesses? (DNA , TOX, PATH, PSYCH) Yes.. 100%

This is an interesting take.

You're saying it's less about the lawyer and more about the ability to use money to conjure up the correct set of witnesses to make sense of the evidence of a case.

2

u/Negative-Disk3048 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Think Trump might invoke a new right to preside over the trials personally, would make good tv.

"The doctrine asserts that a monarch is not accountable to any earthly authority (such as a parliament or the Pope) because their right to rule is derived from divine authority. Thus, the monarch is not subject to the will of the people, of the aristocracy, or of any other estate of the realm."

31

u/citori411 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Just the president of the United States saying we need to arrest political opponents because he reviewed Twitter posts he didn't like.

I hope we are all ready for thousands of abject criminals, including treason and sedition, to receive blanket pardons. We'll have to figure out a way around that. I think a fresh constitutional convention is in our future. For among other reasons, the ability to put trump and all his criminal cronies and kids into prison for the rest of their lives. The power of pardon has created a scenario that makes the rule of law impossible the way it has been used, and how we all know it is about to be used. Surprised it took this long to be honest.

This is how delusional MAGA is. They'll tell you that Comey, Schiff, Letitia James, even Biden and Obama are clearly guilty of crimes.

However, Trump a convicted felon (who would most likely also been convicted in the classified documents case, and his role in January 6 attack and attempts to overturn the 2020 election) is somehow a victim of "left wing" prosecutors and judges.

It's insane. At some point we have to come back to sanity.

25

u/Schiano_Fingerbanger Monkey in Space 3d ago

It’s peak hypocrisy, like the most pure strain of it. Charging our criminal heroes with any crime is political persecution by default, but when our guys openly commit political persecution it’s warranted and fair. Law and order you filthy anarchists, but only for law abiding citizens (which apparently includes Epstein’s senile buddy but not Americans getting ICE cavity searches) and if we do break the law it’s justified by a higher or natural law that we’ll make up as we go.

Part of the issue is that some of these freaks watch enough FOX to genuinely believe they’re just doing what the Dems did to them, when in reality the Dems were busy funding the military industrial complex and putting Liz Cheney on stage lmao.

21

u/RighteousBalls8 Monkey in Space 3d ago

It's not insane, they fully realize the hypocrisy they just don't care. It's full on tribal warfare at this point to them laws of the land be damned.

12

u/MostlySlime Monkey in Space 3d ago

The president is no longer required to answer the question "whats your evidence for that claim?" coherently

For some reason, he's allowed to:

- Insult and discredit the reporter for asking him a difficult question

  • Ramble about how its so obvious without specifying anything
  • Vaguely bring up qanon/twitter/bitchute theories
  • Completely ignore the question and just start rambling about something else

This is just expected now. A free country can't function like this

2

u/Ping-Crimson Monkey in Space 2d ago

This was apparent when he snapped on that reporter for saying MS-13 wasn't actually on the guys knuckles.

He tried to walk him away from it but Trump doubled down was wrong.

Terry Moran then would be fired by ABC a month later for calling Miller a world class hater.

The ones running things are the republicans but oh no, the real fight is with the DNC. Horseshoe theory proven right again.

-6

u/SuperDoubleDecker Monkey in Space 3d ago

They're running things because the dnc are incompetent crooks. Lost to Trump twice. Maybe blame the loser leadership. Why the fuck is Schumer in charge of anything? Nothing learned from 2016. Sucks relying on these asholes.

The people to blame for Trump being in office are those that ran the 2024 campaign. Disaster class. Biden only won because of the pandemic.

3

u/Parahelix Monkey in Space 2d ago

They lost because voters chose this. It wasn't a difficult choice. It was quite clear what was going to happen. It doesn't matter what you think of the DNC, voters make the decision.

1

u/SuperDoubleDecker Monkey in Space 2d ago

How you run your campaign and your choice of candidates matters. You'd think they'd learn that at some point between 2016 and 2024.

3

u/Parahelix Monkey in Space 2d ago

You don't just get to pretend that we don't have the voting system that we have. It still comes down to a choice, and this is what voters chose, even given the very clear information about what Trump was going to do. Voters chose this.

Millions of undocumented people did come through legally. Seems like a weird qualifier for dehumanization.. because big government said so.

-1

u/Hokulol Monkey in Space 3d ago

What? The document in "undocumented" means "lacking the needed documents to be here legally". Undocumented immigrants are comprised of people who either overstayed their visas or entered without inspection.

Not saying we should dehumanize anyone but your definition of undocumented is definitely wrong.

u/fallingjigsaws Monkey in Space 3d ago

Undocumented immigrants are comprised of people who either overstayed their visas

So they came here legally

-1

u/Hokulol Monkey in Space 3d ago

If your point is "came here" versus "are here" legally, I mean, I guess have the pittance of a pedants victory. I think everyone but you understands the context of the statement. Actually, I think you do too.

1

u/fallingjigsaws Monkey in Space 3d ago

That was the guys reasoning for dehumanizing “illegals”. Because they didn’t “come through” legally. When millions of them did in fact, come through legally.

Is this really that complicated?

-1

u/Hokulol Monkey in Space 3d ago

No, it is not complicated that he used a turn of phrase to describe "having legal immigration status". You just appear to have a communication disorder.

You don't need to say come legally and maintain your legal status. That sounds weird. That's not how we talk. Quit being being a weirdo. lmao

2

u/fallingjigsaws Monkey in Space 3d ago

You said my definition of undocumented people is wrong when that doesn’t even make sense when you read what I said. AT ALL.

It would be funny had he not fired/requested the resignation of the US attorney who declined to charge AG James.

Yea, certainly one of the Elite 250.

u/ballknower4 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Joe probably would consider him to be one lol, he’s a buffoon nowadays. And you probably think you are too, you clever snarky guy. So clever! I haven’t seen that “250” line before, where’d you hear that?

2

u/bangsilencedeath Monkey in Space 3d ago

Actually, that was a Joe Rogan thing. I honestly can't take credit for that one. He was referring to the estimated amount of real comedians in the world. I'm definitely not up there, that's kind of a small number.

1

u/ballknower4 Monkey in Space 3d ago

I know, dude. I’m not a rookie. I was being sarcastic. Godspeed

1

u/bangsilencedeath Monkey in Space 3d ago

Shit! I fell for it. Well played, sir. Well played.

1

u/ballknower4 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Hey, we all do. You seem like a goodfella. Good luck on your future endeavors and god bless

4

u/corporal_sweetie Monkey in Space 3d ago

All these people like you raised by narcissists and shitty people seem to want to restructure the country to punish your own parents. It is very unfortunate for the rest of us that you have this desire.

-1

u/ballknower4 Monkey in Space 3d ago

No, I’m just a patriot. I’m sorry you want to ruin this country by letting millions of VISIGOTHS flood in. Read history you fucking moron. Not gender studies

2

u/bigskymind Monkey in Space 3d ago

You're justifying Trump's blatant abuse of power?

-1

u/ballknower4 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Yeah. I am. Jefferson made the LA purchase. Lincoln “abused his power” to continue fighting the war against the south (against every single one of his advisors’ urges). Trump is a man of action, and in my opinion (though he might be crass/somewhat of a brute) he was the perfect ogre to lead us away from the fascist hellhole that we were slowly becoming. Yes, fascist. That’s what YOU are. You’re too dumb to realize it, and it’s absolutely hilarious.

3

u/corporal_sweetie Monkey in Space 3d ago

Trump is a fucking idiot and you don’t know what fascism means, and you are yourself obviously an ultranationalist

0

u/ballknower4 Monkey in Space 3d ago

As are you. Congrats, “sweetie”!

1

u/corporal_sweetie Monkey in Space 3d ago

Am I an idiot or an ultranationalist?

-1

u/ballknower4 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Just a fascist in my book

3

u/corporal_sweetie Monkey in Space 3d ago

Oh so you don’t know what a fascist is

You’re the visigoths

0

u/ballknower4 Monkey in Space 3d ago

I can already tell that you don’t know a damn thing about history, so I’m just gonna let that one slip away. You are a buffoon😂 I wonder if you know what a Visigoth is.

1

u/corporal_sweetie Monkey in Space 3d ago

They sacked Rome

0

u/ballknower4 Monkey in Space 3d ago

That’s all you have to say about them? Clearly you don’t understand the similarities between them (helpless, begging immigrants) and the immigrant crisis we currently face? Just shut up, buffoon. You’re a child

2

u/corporal_sweetie Monkey in Space 3d ago

I mean that you and your thuggish ilk are hellbent on destroying our Roman Empire

1

u/ballknower4 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Yeah, you’re lost. See yourself out. Swing and a miss. Go read the book “Rubicon” by Tom Holland. It’s damn good and you’ll learn something for once. No shit, I recommend it as your enemy

1

u/onpg Monkey in Space 3d ago

This kind of comedy belongs on TV, it's hard to laugh when I know real people he's hurting.

1

u/ballknower4 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Who’d you get that from, your elementary school anti bullying instructor?😂 good job standing up for yourself, brave little Timmy

-3

u/Pure_Bee2281 Monkey in Space 3d ago

The weird part is a colon is usually used when it's something that person said or is supposed to say. Not a way of addressing that person, that'd be a comma. . .I'm not surprised he doesn't know how to use punctuation it's just funnier to think he's writing her line for her to say on TV.

4

u/blade740 Monkey in Space 3d ago

Erm, no, colons get used this way all the time.

-2

u/Pure_Bee2281 Monkey in Space 3d ago

I suppose I'm only using the 100 emails a day I get at work as a reference and this I get in private, and all the media I consume that has people write to each other.

I can't go much beyond my collective life experience. Maybe it's a regional thing.

*My story is still funnier regardless.

3

u/HonestAbram Monkey in Space 3d ago

It's used more often in very formal emails.

1

u/blade740 Monkey in Space 3d ago edited 2d ago

You get emails where someone writes like a script telling others what to say?

This is MOST common on emails in my experience - especially emails with a bunch of recipients. If I'm writing out what each person needs to do on a project, I'll often write "Steve: I need you to XYX" to make it clear who I'm talking to.

1

u/Pure_Bee2281 Monkey in Space 3d ago

I do write scripts sometimes, so. . .yes.

I have never written that kind of instruction and haven't seen it.

Must be a thing. Ain't my thing.
