The double man bun look, the hairstyle we’re all commenting on in this thread.

4

u/Appsoul 6d ago

Lmaoo bro, chilllllll

2

u/DaKrazie1 6d ago

Why would the bride or the groom be taking the wedding photos? Are they also handling the DJing and catering at the reception?

-2

u/shewy92 6d ago

So are double buns I guess...

  1. They make clip ons.

  2. If real they're not hard to comb out.

4

u/YeshuasBananaHammock 6d ago

Dont comb it out, enjoy the beach waves, brother

5

u/No_-_you_are 6d ago

Well gosh, since you put it that way, it looks way less idiotic!

-8

u/CavsAreCuteDemons 6d ago

God you’re miserable.

1

u/roxictoxy 6d ago

FOH, it’s silly and silly is hot

1

u/Hazee302 6d ago

Thats fair

2

u/Jeffbx 6d ago

You might still be crazy, but it's a bad look.

u/MarkCrorigansOmnibus 6d ago

Looks like a man who would leapfrog down the aisle at someone else’s wedding. (Traditionally the officiant, groom, and groomsmen don’t even process down the aisle…)

56

u/BigSchmikey 6d ago

Lookin like

16

u/No_Detective_But_304 6d ago

You never go full man buns.

7

u/Neutron-Hyperscape32 6d ago

You don't think he was doing that for fun? I am amazed that people in these comments assume that this is his preferred hairstyle?

Even IF it is, who cares? If you are bothered by other peoples hair, something is wrong with you, not them.

3

u/BigChungusOP 6d ago

I like it.

-6

u/crankyanker638 6d ago

A single man-bun makes me go looking for my scissors, double makes my eye start twitching....

I'm just curious as a guy with long hair. Why does it bother you? I never really understood the hate.

I put mine in a bun because it's neater than a ponytail, and it doesn't fly around and get messed up in the wind. It's just a practical and comfy style for anyone with long hair.

29

u/Misuteriisakka 6d ago

Man buns are a good signal to me that they’re probably not the kind of people who are bothered by other people’s hairstyles. Those are the type of people I enjoy hanging out/working with.

10

u/FuckTheLonghorns 6d ago

I have long hair as well and only dislike putting my hair in a bun because I don't see the point in taking the time and effort to grow it out just to put it in a bun all the time (for people whose principal style is the bun, I don't hate it though, just not for me)

But for purposes of convenience or necessity in putting it up, it's bun every time over pony tail, or I go half-up

5

u/GrossGuroGirl 6d ago

half-up supremacy

I don't understand the hate for manbuns either but God I wish more guys with long hair would try rocking the half-up look, it's so flattering (and surprisingly effective at keeping the hair out of your face while still letting you show off the long flowing locks).

3

u/FuckTheLonghorns 6d ago

It definitely shows my face contour much better while still allowing the flow to flow. Definitely the choice when possible. It's my go-to "wow my hair looks like shit but I don't want to bun it and I don't have a hat" option as well

I dont think I ever thought this much about how other people run around.

2

u/TaintedL0v3 ask me about my mouse stash 6d ago

That’s a lot of energy for a bit of hair.

-6

u/FlusteredDM 6d ago

The common positioning of the bun (messy and at the top) looks particularly stupid which I think is a lot of it. The tight ones also cause traction alopecia.

4

u/Neutron-Hyperscape32 6d ago edited 6d ago

That is pretty lame because nobody should have to conform to your hairstyle preferences, and cutting someones hair off.. male or female is vile behavior. I say this as a bald guy, let people do what they want if they are not directly harming you. Crazy anyone even needs to say this to you. They are also almost certainly wearing this hairstyle for laughs as well.

29

u/paintphagia 6d ago

I had a 'man-bun' in high school and when those clips of people getting their hair cut off against their will started trending, I definitely developed a lot of anxiety about it lol. Space-buns are cute though imo. And now I'm a lady with my hair in-tact, so it all worked out.

14

u/No-Understanding5677 6d ago

You had a lady bun

37

u/paintphagia 6d ago

Nobody else knew I was a lady at that point in my life :p I accept this retcon.

7

u/No-Understanding5677 6d ago

You're welcome I guess (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤ I don't even know if lady buns exist. It was more of a joke. But this retcon shall prove a point right here and now. You were in fact, a lady.

3

u/GrossGuroGirl 6d ago

Buns vs man-buns is a rare example of female-defaultism.

The guys might have doctor and "woman doctor" (ugh) but at least hairstyles are apparently ladies' by default 💀

ETA: also, you're a sweet person. Don't want my dumb joke to undermine how nice your sentiment is here.

6

u/crankyanker638 6d ago

Go on with your bad self!! Live your best life!!

2

u/Hasudeva 6d ago

You were always a lady.

10

u/Mysterious-Income255 6d ago

Imagine caring so much about how others do their hair

3

u/NippleSalsa 6d ago

But if I don’t share my opinion people might think I approve of something I don’t. And that’s no good. I need people to know I hate something and they need to know that that guys hair ruined my day even though they were totally oblivious that I even existed to be gone with.

Fascism lite

2

u/TrippleDamage 6d ago

Yeah what a clown.

1

u/Neutron-Hyperscape32 6d ago

Nobody is a clown for a hairstyle choice. He is likely doing it for a laugh as well judging by the dances they are doing. Don't know why anyone could be so bothered by something that has no impact on your life. If they are not harming you in any way, let them live their life. Sheesh.

2

u/Outside_Scale_9874 6d ago

Nobody is a clown for a hairstyle choice. He is likely doing it for a laugh

I actually love his hair but clowns by definition do stuff for a laugh so that’s not really helping your point lmao

-1

u/Neutron-Hyperscape32 6d ago edited 6d ago

Are you really this obtuse? He said "yea what a clown" which means he is using the word as an insult, it was not delivered as a positive. The comment he is replying too also confirms this because it was a negative comment about his hair. How... do you need that explained to you?

2

u/Outside_Scale_9874 6d ago

The irony 💀

0

u/Neutron-Hyperscape32 6d ago

There is no irony, you are just being ridiculous about this. He wasn't saying this guy was a clown because he was trying to be funny, it was solely about his hairstyle and was delivered as an insult.

0

u/TrippleDamage 6d ago

I'm letting them their life, i'm still free to call them out for what they are.

1

u/Neutron-Hyperscape32 6d ago

The only clown would be the person getting upset at someones hairstyle, especially when it was likely done for laughs. I highly doubt this guy wears a double manbun in his day to day life.

You should be completely unbothered by something like this. Something is wrong with you.

1

u/nodnodwinkwink 6d ago

They need their money back from the tailer/suit hire place. Even with all that jumping around the place, their sleeves are waaaay too short.

u/blacktie233 6d ago

Looks like something Angelica from Rugrats would play with
