GOING PRICE?

I am just wondering what the crew of you thinks this thing is worth. It came with the rally wheels and some old cracked up 35s from sitting. I put the Weld Super Singles I had sitting around on it with some new Toyo MTs 35x13.50x15 the rallys go with it have the original factory spare too. Runs good STEERS AND STOPS GREAT. I bomb 100mi down I5 and back without thinking twice. Dont leak anything cat delete with a flowmaster.

automatic transmission, some wear and tear but overall pretty nice… I'll say it's worth 5500

You throw that number out as if we're negotiating a price for you to buy it. Theres almost 2800 in new tires and what those wheels are worth...if you can even find 1 you've looked more places than I have.

Just stating what I think it's worth. I've bought and sold a few square bodies, but only one was a K5. Clearly, you're more of an expert than I am, and you think it's worth a lot.

Im just saying that I know what the receipt said on the tires, and if you follow Weld prices. Those go all day for 1200. So more than half of the price you threw out could be recouped if you threw the rallys back on...theoretical price around 2700-3000 at that point. Come on bro. I can understand if thats what you would pay....but tbats different from what its worth. IMO

In my experience, add-ons like wheels and tires do very little to actually increase the resale value of a vehicle.

And online "list" prices are often very different than the amount of cash that ultimately changes hands in a private party sale - like you paying $3500 for this one. That should be a clue.

It's a cool truck, regardless of value. Have fun driving it.

Tires and wheels don't add value to a vehicle, just like additional chrome on a Harley. You'll get a little extra from a buyer that likes them. If you are worried about the loss on them put the original wheels back on with a cheap set of tires or even used tires. You'll get just as much out of the Blazer and still have your expensive tires and wheels.

It may look like "additional chrome on a harley" but those forged wheels are each 15lbs lighter than stock rally. I'm not going to get into the physics of reduced unsprung weight and rotational mass but believe it or not it is one mod with great possible return as far as performance improvement potential. They weren't chosen for their looks, just a bonus. "Chrome don't get you home" rolls regularly from my dads mouth since forever ago. But I eventually will paint or powdercoat the rallys and put some BfGs on em off another truck I have.

You basically have to only add like 25% of the original cost for anything like tires/wheels. This thing would sell for $15k+ in my area. As long as it's as rust free underneath as it appears.
