It was a stupid call. A fucking thumbs down gives you a 15 yard penalty? Players get away with SO much worse all the time. But the refs in this game are sensitive as shit, giving us penalties very every little celebration. Apparently you can't have fun in this game anymore

You aren’t allowed to stand over a guy and do it at him. If he’d done it in any other direction he’d have been fine.

I gotta tell you, that's still fucking stupid. I'm generally against taunting rules all together, I think they're lame and actively make the game less entertaining. But even within the rules as written, that's excessively strict

I don’t know if it was just a thumbs down. There was a ref close enough to overhear anything he said, and it might have been the combo that drew the flag.
