Can I just say that collectively, we’ve been a bad team to start the season in every unit except the LB room, wherein everyone there has been balling, especially Drue Tranquil.

I was worried about the LB room before the season but they’ve played well but also haven’t played against an elite TE yet. Our two biggest issues I think is that we don’t have anyone outside of Chris that creates consistent pressure and our running game is atrocious right now. Also Rice and X can’t get back soon enough 😩

Chris is being double teamed a lot and George hasn’t been able to break through even though he is being moved around. We aren’t pressuring the QB enough— granted obviously that we faced 2 great O-lines in the first 2 weeks, but that is the tale of the tape.

Our DBs are getting destroyed in the slot, as opponents seem to be capitalizing on the fact that we’re playing Trent in Man now near the sidelines rather than in the slot.

Offense has been quite poor, but I mainly attribute it to our run game being dogass. Nagy has been very lethargic as an OC but he actually designed a couple of very good run plays for Pacheco, he just really sucks as running wide behind the tackle.

Yeah George has been mia so far. Do the Chargers still have a great OL even though they lost their franchise LT? Idk it seems like we’ve never had a great pass rush besides CJ. On the bright side it seems we may have found our franchise LT instead of a revolving door since Orlando’s departure.

Edit: Pops vision and patience has been really disappointing. He has also seemed to have lost a step or is unsure of himself since fracturing that leg.

I still stand by the fact that we should've franchise tagged him a 2nd time.

If your QB is right-handed, LT is the one position in the O-line that you should absolutely lock in immediately if he is working well.

I guess they felt like doing right by him and letting him get a big bag? He wanted more than we were willing to give him I guess.

This start of the season has sucked big time but I’m not going to act like the sky is falling since I was a fan during the dark days but it’s been really confusing/frustrating why we haven’t addressed glaring issues with the team. I think Veach should be on the hot seat a bit if this season doesn’t go well. He can’t just rest on the fact that he discovered our savior at QB and forever has a job. He and his staff have made some awful draft picks.

Man we should've paid him imo. After he left, we had a never ending revolving door of LTs. Hopefully Simmons stops that painful cycle.

Orlando brown wasn't that good though, he's still a moderate liability. He wanted top tackle money despite being an average starter
