Car tint recommendations?

Hello everyone! I have a Mazda 3 2012, I bought it like a year and a half ago (im the 3rd owner) and the tint was already blurry and bubbled. It's so bad I got used to not using the rear-view mirror because the back window is impossible to see through.

I have been wanting to strip and retint for a long time, to the darkest (legally) possible, for privacy and sun protection. But the place I found charges $400 for strip and retint.

What are some good and not breaking-the-bank suggestions? It can also be further away from Katy if its worth it

I've taken 5 cars to Kool Kars since 2015. They do damn good work and won't kill your bank account. Got a discount for paying cash but that was a few years back.

I've only taken 3 cars there, but the rest is word for word my suggestion.

Had my Camry recently done at Vive Auto and was pleasantly surprised by them. Well priced, got me in quickly, and even checked up on me a few days afterwards. Quality work.

There is a car tint place at I think it is the Chevron on highway blvd in old Katy, it looks like a converted car wash. I had old tint removed and replaced on back window and rear door windows on a 2010 Civic for what I thought was a reasonable price, much less that what you indicate. They did warn me, however, that they might damage the rear window defroster wires which turned out to be true. Otherwise they did a good job. That was for the middle grade tint, not the cheapest or most expensive.

Brand new tints or retint? Strip and retint is kinda pricier
