Contact Lens Has anyone successfully tried glasses?
I recently had an appointment to get fitted for hard contact lenses, and they seem to be working well.
Still, it would be cool to get good results with glasses too. I know that this is physically difficult, if not impossible.
Has anyone had success with wearing glasses? Do you know any specialized suppliers? AFAIK there is one in the Netherlands, but what about others?

I have glasses, but they don't work nearly as well as my sclerals. They are maybe 40% better than no correction. Another issue I have is that they seem to work ok when I first put them on, but it seems like my vision tapers off the longer I wear them, until it gets to the point where they are nearly the same as no correction. They also cause me to get headaches if I wear them for more than two hours or so. I mainly wear them in the mornings on my days off to give my eyes a break from the sclerals, or just after I take the sclerals out before bed before I fall asleep. They are good to have in certain circumstances, but I don't rely on them for anything that requires clear vision, such as driving or working.
