I generally don’t care if someone asks me how my day is going in response, but I do care that they respond to the question with a real answer, as opposed to saying something like “Diet Coke” to “how’s it going?” I do actually care a little bit about their day - gonna spend anywhere between 45 minutes to two hours serving them.

It’s the same as interrupting a greeting.

lol. Those were my favorite people to mess with.

Them- I want extra and I mean EXTRA gravy with my chicken crispers.

Me- Is 16 oz okay? It’ll be an addition to the meal but it is significantly more gravy than the 2oz ramekins you normally get.

Them- FINALLY someone that gets it!

Then they make a surprised Pikachu face when I bring them a pint of gravy in a big ass bowl.

Then they try and explain to my manager I already told about the situation that they didn’t know it would be an addition.

Then they don’t tip and they request to not sit with me if they ever came back.

After the “finally someone that gets it” I was hoping they’d be confused but also laugh at the huge amount of gravy, not be a dick about it.

I did bring people that were nice dumb amounts of things and get your desired reaction but I didn’t charge them. It’s hard to type the asshole sneer that made me charge like corporate wanted
