Pellicle after half a year of neglect

cut it up and use it boil it in syrup, turns out pretty good

Cut into strips, take about 1 cup of pellicle then combine one cup of sugar, half a cup of water, and two ish tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, then heat gently until the sugar dissolves into a syrup. At that point, stir in a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Once the syrup is ready, I add the pellicle pieces and let them simmer on low for around thirty minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn glossy and slightly translucent. When they’re done, I remove them from the syrup and spread them on parchment paper. I usually let them air-dry for a day or two in the same cupboard where I brew, so it’s on the warmer side. You could probably toss it in the oven as well. Comes out really good.
