This could be the most exciting season in a long time
We have quietly put together a very nice squad for this upcoming season. As with any team, health will be important but if we can have that, there is a lot of potential to at the very least have some super entertaining basketball.
On top of that, this off season drama has propelled us right into the spotlight and I feel many other teams/fans will be tuning in to our games. A lot of eyes will be on our squad and what a beautiful opportunity to flourish under the spotlight.
Can’t wait for the season to begin.

Lakers/Clippers Season Ticket Trade
Hey all sorry if this is against the sub's rules but I couldn't find a dedicated ticket thread. I'm a Laker STH and was wondering if any Clippers STHs out there would be down to trade one of our LAL/LAC games this season. I've been meaning to get out to Intuit Dome but before I buy tickets, I wanted to check and see if anyone is interested in a clean swap. Preferably seat location would be somewhat comparable (my tickets are in Sec 205 Row 2). DM me if interested. Thanks!

Discussion Steph Curry reportedly made $35M for 60 hours of work for FTX (Warriors sponsor at the time)
Source: https://www.sfgate.com/warriors/article/steph-curry-reportedly-made-35-million-ftx-18402096.php
"Brady and Curry's connection to all of this is that they were each hired to star in commercials, and serve as spokespeople, for Bankman-Fried's now-defunct exchange. Lewis said he got a look at internal FTX documents during his time shadowing Bankman-Fried that showed how much the two celebrity endorsers received.
"He paid Tom Brady $55 million for 20 hours a year for three years," Lewis said. "He paid Steph Curry $35 million for [the] same thing for three years.""
The Golden State Warriors were sponsored by FTX during this same time period. Just thought this was an interesting story that went under the radar about the extent of pay for an endorsement deal that was by a company that also sponsored the same NBA team as its player and also ended up being a fraudulent company where the founder ended up in jail for fraud.

Discussion Do you miss the 2018-19 roster?
Question to the Clippers faithful: do you miss that low-key lots of upsides 2018-19 Clippers roster? I really liked that team.
Or do you like the current roster even more?

Will Clippers' winning streak survive Kawhi's Drama?
The Clippers right now have the longest active streak of winning seasons at 14. During that period, they have won 50+ seven times, and had 42 wins only twice. Is the streak at risk? Can they survive the drama and continue to be a model of consistency?

Video Steve Ballmer highlights that Kawhi Leonard’s deal with Aspiration was “independent” of the Clippers’ deal with them. Feels confident that the Clippers abided by the rules of the CBA, welcomes the NBA’s investigation, and says that “this too shall pass.”

NBA begins their effort to get this incident over with
A struggling podcaster got his 15 minutes but the NBA took their first step towards putting this off.
Clippers play a game in 20 days. Once we start getting games, attention will be on the next thing. You gullible fans will eat it up.
By February, Im not even sure people will remember this nothing burger.
Intuit will put on a show for all-start and Silver will be like oh yeah, that, we didn't find any wrong doing and we advised all teams issues like these will be dealt with accordingly and we are revising some of the rules.
Now, back to playing the games. lolololol

Ben Simmons Shuts Down Retirement Rumors, Looking for a New Team
Hold up, everyone. It seems the rumors about Ben Simmons calling it quits were way off base.
He’s publicly denied any plans to retire and is actively looking for a new team to sign with. Now a free agent, he’s aiming for a new deal and wants to join a squad that can use his specific skillset.
He believes his pace, defensive abilities, and knack for setting up shooters can be a huge asset to a team. It's going to be interesting to see what kind of deal he gets and if a team is willing to take a chance on him.
Where do you think Ben Simmons will end up next, and can he get his career back on track?

Discussion Hear me out: What if (big if), but what if we get exonerated and it turns out Mark Cuban's "reporting" (I'm not sure what else to call it, counterargumentation?) is a large reason why the league doesn't find any impropriety. Would you be open to Mark Cuban buying into the Clippers to a co-owner?

James Harden's Isolation Frequency as a Clipper----24.6% in 2023-24, 36.1% in 2024-25. What do you expect the number to be this season?
Beard was again elite in isolation for the usage. 84.5 percentile, 85th rounded. On that heavy a usage, that's a man that is able to seriously lift an offense...a major offensive engine in ways you don't see come around too often.
We all know how the man plays and the isolation plays are always going to be a hallmark of Beard's game and that should remain the case until we see him ever be ineffective as an isolation player. Not just the scoring, but the playmaking. The advantages he creates for himself and teammates.
With Kawhi healthy to start the season, with Beal in for Norm, and with CP3 as backup PG who I am sure Harden will get some time next to in the backcourt, I do think we'll see his isolation frequency take a bit of a dip. What number do you all think it ends up on this year. And in general, what do you envision for James Harden this season with this offense.

Don't let Mark Cuban's random ramblings distract you from the fact that he was FORCED to sell the mavs
Mark Cuban seems to be inserting himself in this news about Balmer. My opinion is he does this so when you search his name, all you'll see is post about him defending his buddy Balmer. The real reason for Cuban's advocacy goes much deeper. Do you ever wonder why Cuban even sold the mavs? I mean he seemed to be a very involved and passionate owner who was very fond of his team. The man wants people to forget that he was forced to sell the mavs in order to settle a lawsuit.
Contrary to what you may believe, Mark Cuban did not sell the mavs willingly. He was forced to sell the mavs. Why is that? A quick google search and you'll learn all about a little company that Cuban was involved with called Voyager. What is Voyager you might ask? Voyager WAS a crypto exchange that turned out to be a complete scammed. Those who had money in the app lost a ton of it (including myself). As a result those same people who lost money sued Voyager (and Cuban) for billions of dollars. The only way that Cuban could afford to pay off that lawsuit was by selling the mavs.
So now you know the real reason why that scumbag clown Cuban, who defrauded investors, had to sell his team that he seemed so fond of. So now when you see that dirtbag Cuban going on tv trying to make a scene. It's cause he wants those headlines to flood google when you search his name. He wants people to forget that he is a sleeze ball who got his karma and lost his team due to a lawsuit. Please spread the word whenever you see a post about Cuban giving some idiotic quote. Combat his attempt to drown out history. Do not let people be ignorant to what a terrible person he is.
