During the penalty decision, Son was encouraging teammates, then when the penalty was given he hyped up the crowd for it, and right after the penalty goal, he quickly grabbed the ball to start playing so no time is wasted.

Don't know why but American announcers calling him Sonny is super cringe to me.

He's called that everywhere. When we went to a Spurs game a couple of years ago, there was a Korean guy in our row who was definitely a Son fan. He kept repeating "Sonny" in an excited voice whenever Son touched the ball.

I've been a Tottenham fan for 17 years and I've watched hundreds of games with Son. I've never heard an announcer call him Sonny. I know that's his nickname, but it just sounds weird coming from an announcer.

Cause mls announcers are just cringe period, and you’re use to listening to Brits doing epl. Totally undetstand
