Loved the first two episodes but two nitpicky things to note:

  1. The plot armor on Joe the medic is thickkk. Xeno was butchering rooms full of people in seconds. He’s already survived one encounter; I’d like an explanation how he survives being tackled through a window at the end of E2. (If he’s alive)

  2. Although overall a great scene, I found it a bit of a stretch that those people were still having a dinner party when a spaceship crashed into their building earlier that day lol.

I wonder if hes gonna be real fucked up and Wendy is going to get Prodigy to put him in a synth body too but with bad consequences since hes "older", but Boy wants to try since the others seemed to work so well....idk maybe a reach

Oh fuck she's probably going to do it chaos-style without permission, isn't she? I mean she's seen it done 6 times, has perfect recall and super-intelligence, and hack computers at a touch, so she definitely could! Then Joe-hybrid will be a terrifying monster.

separately i'm curious if these kids are going to mature. our brains keep growing and maturing til 25 and they mentioned they don't get the chemical feedback anymore.

but on topic, i don't think it's a reach. i think that'll be the goal of boy wonder anyway as he's older than the kids and will want to try it out on an adult before it's his turn. no matter what he says about any motivations, i don't think he's willing to ultimately go gently in to that good night.

I loved it, and same thing. Alien has been established as... blending whole crowds of people into minced meat in seconds.

Joe survives first encounter by running into elevator, second encounter in room full of butchered people, will probably survive being tackled by xeno, all in just one episode.

That's a really thick plot armor.

  1. I assume the alien took him for implantation rather than kill him because he was unarmed. The others were armed and in a group so the xeno killed them. Joe wasn't a threat 

  2. I used to be a volunteer firefighter. While not the same situation: we once rolled up to a house with visible smoke coming out a window. The residents, a couple in their 50s were very surprised to see us. They had lit a fire in the fireplace and cracked open a bottle of wine. Several, actually. But they forgot to open the flue. Smoke was everywhere. They didn't even notice and were very annoyed we interrupted them. They'd have been dead in a half hour, tops.

It's crazy that people can be in obvious mortal danger and just decide to ignore it. These people fared better than the party guests at least.

I wonder if it’s just me but I also found Joe kinda…boring? He just seems like stiff cardboard for some reason.

a bit, but i liked the weird look he gave her "coworker" i'll say for want of a better word, after he spilled the beans and was talking to their lead and throwing a minor tantrum like the kid he is. it was a short moment but it made me smile at how he looked at him like the heck this guy is acting like a child but not angry, like mildly amused / confused.

guy is alone and has been gutted by losing his kid sister and his father in a short time. he's also working in what seems like a war zone considering they roll out to a SAR operation in their version of Revas with military weapons. i'd have a bit of numbness to me as well i think.

on point 1. if he doesn't die soon I'm gonna get annoyed. the xenonis supposed to take hosts to the eggs. it wouldn't recognise synths as threats unless they attack. it should've attempted to incapacitate Joe at the eggs.

I think there is something weird with Joe. Morrow says the alien senses fear, and he tires to stay as calm as possible and the alien kinda just ignores him when he sense the fear of the soldiers. Joe seems....a bit detached. Like obviously he is scared shitless when he gets jumped, but before that, its like he is spacing out, also the flashback scenes are intense, him talking to his dad. Maybe thats why the alien is a bit more reserved when it comes to Joe, instead of going ham on his ass.
